So, Todd Bentley Is A Drunk?

Thanks to PJ Miller and his blog, we learn yet more about Todd Bentley.

Not content with being a tool of Satan deceiving the masses, or an adulterer who is leaving his wife, Todd Bentley is also a drunk (excuse me, he “drinks excessively”):

John Arnott reports excessive Drinking

There must not have been anyone down there in Lakeland, overseeing anything..sigh…

quote..

Todd has chosen to do something that is wrong according to Scripture, and his timing to announce it was equally inappropriate. Everyone is asking, “What happened?” “Why didn’t anyone see this coming?”  We are making the answers to those questions a matter of prayer, and are as shocked and saddened by what has just happened as you are. Furthermore, it has now come out that there has been some inappropriate behavior, both with excessive drinking and also with a female member of his staff.

So Bentley really was drunk in the spirit? The liquor spirit.

Just when you think his demonic ministry couldn’t get any lower, he exceeds our expectations.

Once again, stay away from Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley.

Mark 12:24 Jesus said to them, Is not this where you wander out of the way {and} go wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?

Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, The first {and} principal {one of all commands} is: Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 And you shall love the Lord your God out of {and} with your whole heart and out of {and} with all your soul (your life) and out of {and} with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of {and} with all your strength. {This is the first and principal commandment.} 31 The second {is like it and} is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

Some persons aburdily say even that “Pentecostals are not Christians” they are clearly ignorant persons, ignorant of the Bible itself, ignorant of the Holy Spirit ‘s teaching, leading as well, ignorant sadly even of Jesus Christ himself.

I find it so remarkable too even these days that many of the critics comments about the Lakeland revival, the latter rain movement, and Todd Bentley that I have read on the net are now also very similar, even similarly maliciously too, as to what the other past critics, note the professing religious ones now too, had said about Jesus and his own revival, Ministry too.. but why should it be so amazing for it is the same Devil, demons who inspire many of them continualy to us all too.

Mark 3:21 And when those who belonged to Him (His kinsmen) heard it, they went out to take Him by force, for they kept saying, He is out of His mind (beside Himself, deranged)!

Mark 3:22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He is possessed by Beelzebub, and, By [the help of] the prince of demons He is casting out demons.
Mark 3:23 And He summoned them to Him and said to them in parables (illustrations or comparisons put beside truths to explain them), How can Satan drive out Satan?
Mark 3:24 And if a kingdom is divided {and} rebelling against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Mark 3:25 And if a house is divided (split into factions and rebelling) against itself, that house will not be able to last.
Mark 3:26 And if Satan has raised an insurrection against himself and is divided, he cannot stand but is [surely] coming to an end.
Mark 3:27 But no one can go into a strong man’s house and ransack his household goods right and left {and} seize them as plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then indeed he may [thoroughly] plunder his house.
    Mark 3:28 Truly {and} solemnly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever abusive {and} blasphemous things they utter;
Mark 3:29 But whoever speaks abusively against {or} maliciously misrepresents the Holy Spirit can never get forgiveness, but is guilty of {and} is in the grasp of an everlasting trespass.
Mark 3:30 For they persisted in saying, He has an unclean spirit.

Mark 10:39 And they replied to Him, We are able. And Jesus told them, The cup that I drink you will drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized,
Jesus himself said that not everyone would even believe the same amount even with the same truth they had received..

Mark 4:14 The sower sows the Word.
Mark 4:15 The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.
    Mark 4:16 And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive {and} accept {and} welcome it with joy;
Mark 4:17 And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) {and} they stumble {and} fall away.
    Mark 4:18 And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;
Mark 4:19 Then the cares {and} anxieties of the world {and} distractions of the age, and the pleasure {and} delight {and} false glamour {and} deceitfulness of riches, and the craving {and} passionate desire for other things creep in and choke {and} suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
Mark 4:20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive {and} accept {and} welcome it and bear fruit–some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.
Mark 4:21 And He said to them, Is the lamp brought in to be put under a peck measure or under a bed, and not [to be put] on the lampstand?
Mark 4:22 [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known.
Mark 4:23 If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening {and} let him perceive {and} comprehend.
    Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you {who hear.}
Mark 4:25 For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force],
Mark 4:26 And He said, The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed upon the ground,
Mark 4:27 And then continues sleeping and rising night and day while the seed sprouts and grows {and} increases–he knows not how.

Sadly too many people wrongfully try to limit what God can and cannot do these days now as well.

King David’s wife did not support him fully, Job’s wife as welll but so have the unsupportive wives of many other faithful Christian persons including John Bunyan now too. For that matter neither did Jesus own family now too.

Mark 3:33 And He replied, Who are My mother and My brothers? 34 And looking around on those who sat in a circle about Him, He said, See! Here are My mother and My brothers; 35 For whoever does the things God wills is My brother and sister and mother!

Mark 10:52 And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has healed you. And at once he received his sight and accompanied Jesus on the road.

Mark 4:39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness). 40 He said to them, Why are you so timid {and} fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? 41 And they were filled with great awe {and} feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him?

Mark 9:1 AND JESUS said to them, Truly {and} solemnly I say to you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death before they see the kingdom of God come in [its] power.

Mark 9:7 And a cloud threw a shadow upon them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the [most dearworthy] Beloved One. Be constantly listening to {and} obeying Him!
Mark 9:8 And looking around, they suddenly no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus only.

Mark 9:17 And one of the throng replied to Him, Teacher, I brought my son to You, for he has a dumb spirit.
Mark 9:18 And wherever it lays hold of him [so as to make him its own], it dashes him down {and} convulses him, and he foams [at the mouth] and grinds his teeth, {and} he [falls into a motionless stupor and] is wasting away. And I asked Your disciples to drive it out, and they were not able [to do it].
Mark 9:19 And He answered them, O unbelieving generation [without any faith]! How long shall I [have to do] with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to Me.
Mark 9:33 And they arrived at Capernaum; and when [they were] in the house, He asked them, What were you discussing {and} arguing about on the road?
Mark 9:34 But they kept still, for on the road they had discussed {and} disputed with one another as to who was the greatest.
Mark 9:35 And He sat down and called the Twelve [apostles], and He said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he must be last of all, and servant of all.
Mark 9:36 And He took a little child and put him in the center of their group; and taking him in [His] arms, He said to them,
Mark 9:37 Whoever in My name {and} for My sake accepts {and} receives {and} welcomes one such child also accepts {and} receives {and} welcomes Me; and whoever so receives Me receives not only Me but Him Who sent Me.
Mark 9:38 John said to Him, Teacher, we saw a man who does not follow along with us driving out demons in Your name, and we forbade him to do it, because he is not one of our band [of Your disciples].
Mark 9:39 But Jesus said, Do not restrain {or} hinder {or} forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in My name will soon afterward be able to speak evil of Me.
Mark 9:40 For he who is not against us is for us.
Mark 9:41 For I tell you truly, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to {and} bear the name of Christ will by no means fail to get his reward.
Mark 9:42 And whoever causes one of these little ones (these believers) who acknowledge {and} cleave to Me to stumble {and} sin, it would be better (more profitable and wholesome) for him if a [huge] millstone were hung about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

Mark 9:49 For everyone shall be salted with fire.

Mark 9:50 Salt is good (beneficial), but if salt has lost its saltness, how will you restore [the saltness to] it? Have salt within yourselves, and be at peace {and} live in harmony with one another.

Now recently, this week with Todd Bentley’s divorce announcement, I was reminded when I was at a week long seminar decades ago and the preacher was preaching great and I admit I started to hero worship the preacher but on the last Friday afternoon session the preacher had preached some falsehood.. and I was drastically horrified, dismayed, as to how this could be, could his whole week’s teaching now also be in error. Next I prayed and asked God how could that be? why did it occur? and God replied to me ” you had taken your eyes of me unto the preacher, and I had to show you what he, the preacher was really like.. many look up to man and not God.. we all need to focus solely on Jesus again and always.. .and even to get back to praying and fasting now too.

Todd Bentley reminds me we are all sinners, you and I included..

In the ongoing secular societies of today sex sins, specially sex outside of marriage, adultery is personally still taken much too lightly, but these sins for Christians also do have real, serious negative consequences, the disapproval of God clearly indicated now in the Bible. In reality when one has indulged in adultery, one has tended to also simultaneously or previously indulged in many other unacceptable sins now too. Over 55 percent of evangelical pastors have committed adultery now too in North America… and it is no wonder they wrongfully tend to counsel divorce too.

The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein. (Proverbs 22:14 KJV)

Don’t even look at any “strange women.” If you do, you will utter perverse things. Proverbs 23:33

(Exo 20:14 KJV) Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Now for decades, I write about, deal with key political figures who are all to be exemplary as citizen paid employees too.., I observe their acts, responses to my letters.. and let me tell you that the really bad guys are so predicable and they make it easy for me to look further into what they are really also doing wrong.. for bad guys rarely tend to be a little bit pregnant.. so there are the basics I look for that will shortly indicate their great downfall!!
    – their own positive or negative management style, are they power hungry, control freaks, abusers, and so I look at their ongoing performance record abuses of others including their discrimination, verbal or physical abuses, human rights abuses?
    – their attitude towards money, is it normal or have they become greedy, gone overboard, and so do they cheat, lies, steal, live high on the hog?
    – yes I even look for religious hypocrisy, even also next their adultery, cause I know it will predictably happen with the bad guys eventually, Proverbs says this is God’s punishment.. likely for stealing poor people’s money, or abusing the rights of others.. seriously too.
    – even the type of friends they associate, hang around with, birds of feathers flock together, for we even seem to know that alcoholics love to associate with other alcoholics too etc.
Now I have openly written about our PM Stephen Harper too and Todd Bentley and others.. even that Todd was hanging around with bad people, such as the bad pastors of the Toronto airport Christian fellowship, and he was raking in loads of poor people’s money..

Mark 12:38 And in [the course of] His teaching, He said, Beware of the scribes, who like to go around in long robes and [to get] greetings in the marketplaces [public forums], 39 And [have] the front seats in the synagogues and the chief couches (places of honor) at feasts,

Lying, stealing, tax evasions, slander, gossiping, abuse of others, adultery, and alcohol, are the common sins of 70 percent of Pastors so why pick on Todd Bentley alone,?

    Sigh!

Well, dare I say, that explains a lot about Mr. Bentley…

  5. 5 Brother K August 21, 2008 at 8:39 pm

    Micah 2:11
If a liar and deceiver comes and says, ‘I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,’ he would be just the prophet for this people!

Hmmm…this all is beginning to feel like a ‘pile-on’ beginning. What’s next? Revelations that Todd’s fingernails were dirty or that he wore the same scanties two days in a row?

Don’t be fooled (and I’m sure most who read & post here are not) but these types of ‘admissions of wrongdoing’ and ‘inadequate oversight’ from the Lakeland folk distract from the real issue which was and is: Bentley’s blatant heresy and their own inaction as it spread. These folks should realize that God’s not going to give them a pass just because Todd was a drunken womanizer. They need to drop this “Sometimes God uses flawed vessels for great works” fig-leaf and repent of the whole mess!

Having tuned out of things for the past few weeks due to having to take care of some responsibilities, I had forgotten how malevolently evil this Bentley fellow and his circle are. That picture of him above was a stark and disturbing reminder.

i can’t wait to see when God judges all of you for all this. a ‘matter of prayer’? oh yeah, well if it was that would have been the first thing on the list. you people are like noah’s son who wanted to uncover him. you people need to get lives by getting with God or whatever you want to call him in your book., it’s more like the snake of gossip from hell. what’s next impalement for the guy? he’s human, so are you and NO MAN IS WITHOUT SIN!!!!!! get God’s point now? to you condemn him or love him back to health?
todd needs to get with God about this issue, not judgmental gossips. shame on you, shame on you. no wonder no one like me as a Christian, because everyone hates Christians because of people like you.

  10. 10 speaking truth August 23, 2008 at 9:47 am

    samuel,

Since you are a Bentley apologist I’ll make myself perfectly clear. I believe that Todd Bentley is an enemy of God and a disciple of the devil. I believe that he has malicously lied, deceived, and taken advantage of gullible Christians who are looking for an emotional affirmation for their faith.

Bentley is demon possessed (as he has admitted), so I won’t “love him back to health”. Todd doesn’t need to get with God because God already spoke about Todd and his ilk throughout His Word.

So now that you are completely clear about my position, you’re welcome to visit a blog that supports Bentley.

Oh, and everyone doesn’t “hate Christians”, everyone is tired of seeing so-called Christians putting on religous circus’.

  11. 11 Gladstone Bhasme August 23, 2008 at 11:29 am

It’s my observation that ALL human beings have something to hide!
We are all sinners – even the ones who are quick to point an accusing finger at someone else – and such accusers are only disciples of Satan – the Chief Accuser.
Such accusers are far more clever than the accused in hiding their own sins.
Only the Perfect should ‘throw stones’!!!!!
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and have a deep desire to become more and more like Christ – but I find myself like Paul in the Bible “doing things I don’t want to do or not doing things I want to do”.
When I sincerely confess my sins He is faithful and just to forgive my sins!!
Only Christ in us makes us stand totally righteous before God our Father.
I certainly DO NOT SUPPORT sin of any kind and I don’t understand everything that folks like Todd Bentley do – but I love Todd Bentley and all those accused – because the work that God has started in them (and in me) HE WILL COMPLETE in due course – even if we seem imperfect for a while!!

  12. 12 Cop August 23, 2008 at 11:50 am

    HEY SAMUEL

    GOSSIP? What gossip?

His OWN ministry put out the story of his relationship with another woman, AND his problems with drinking.

I dont think people hate christians because of blogs like this, I think its partly due because of these popular T.V. preachers who preach and teach how to live right with God, but never live that life for themselves.

I know we all sin and fall short of the glory of God.
But I at LEAST EXPECT the leader of a church to be FAITHFULL TO HIS WIFE AND AVOID GETTING DRUNK.

Many followers of Christ dont cheat on their wives or get drunk. At some point the ministers life should reflect his calling both in front and behind the scenes.

    Gladstone,

I won’t continue to repeat myself, so please see my comments to samuel above. Also, feel free to type “Todd Bentley” in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of this blog to see more bible-based comments of mine regarding Bentley.

Bentley’s latest revelations do not fall into the “we all sin and fall short” category simply because Bentley was not doing God’s work in the first place. You may not “understand” what Bentley was doing, but I do – in accordance with scripture.

The Lord’s will be done concerning Todd Bentley and his ilk – he’ll get no pity here.

    Period.

  14. 14 Ginger August 25, 2008 at 11:44 am

I don’t see how people can be soo BLIND!! Please, Bentley defenders, pray for a discerning spirit form God. Ask yourselves,”Did Jesus EVER use violence to heal anyone?” The Holy Spirit is gentle and loving, why would He need to cause so much commotion to heal someone? The God I serve is not a God that causes you more pain from a healing than you started with. The Holy Spirit inside of me screams every time I hear the name Todd Bentley. This man is not of God and if you can’t feel it when you watch him, I only pray that you will get a discerning spirit from God to see the truth in people. It hurts me deeply that so many are being mislead by this false prophet. And that is Biblical: Matt 24:24, please read for yourselves.

  15. 15 Scooter August 25, 2008 at 7:47 pm

I have been following this for a while. For those who feel we should not hold others accountble are naive at best. Scripture encourges us o test the spirits, as well as to judge the prophets. Todd Bentley was a young man with gifts an abilities who has obviously lost connection wih the head, Christ. Should we forgive, YES! Should he be held accountable YES! To simply hide behind Jesus words ‘he who is with out sin…” is not regognizing his wrath on spiritual leaders who should have known better when he called them “vipers, white whased tombs…”
Todd needs not only our prayer and forgivness but also support and loving direction and correction.
My question is will Wagner and Johnson and Arrnott and Che Ahn take the reponsiblilty for their part in his prdination, by being there to help this young man. Will the Apostolic Reformation help it’s own? That will yet be seen.
    Interesting forum I must say.

The Todd Bentley scandal is a disgrace. it’s unbelievable that he was allowed to go on deceiving people for so long. This is such a mess. I will never again be taken in or give undue adulation to any evangelist. I will instead use caution and wisdom, and no matter how many people are worshipping a preacher I will not join the crowd, but will be very sceptical.
Huge amounts of money MUST have been made at lakeland as people are encouraged to sow in order to reap.

Glory to God, Carrie! If that realization alone justified any initial interest (or curiosity) that you had towards Bentley, then the Lord’s sovereign will has been accomplished!

Remember the words of our Lord given to the prophet Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 17:5-8 (New American Standard Bible)

    5Thus says the LORD,
“(A)Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind
    And makes (B)flesh his strength,
And whose heart turns away from the LORD.
6″For he will be like a (C)bush in the desert
And will not see when prosperity comes,
But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness,
A (D)land of salt without inhabitant.
7″(E)Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD
And whose (F)trust is the LORD.
8″For he will be like a (G)tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
    And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of (H)drought
    Nor cease to yield fruit.

You would do well to let your confidence remain in Christ alone.

    THIS POST IS JUST SILLY!!!

I cant believe the tone of this post! Bentley may not have had the perfect aa round christian life but the fact that people like YOU start name calling and tearing him to pieces!!!!

“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”

I dont think i need to say more than that! – Think about it!

  21. 21 speaking truth January 18, 2009 at 10:48 am

    Irishmark,

Your comment is about the only silly thing that I can see.

Perhaps you should read about Todd Bentley (Google his name, type his name in the search bar of this blog’s upper right-hand corner) – then read your bible to determine if Bentley is a minister of the Gospel or an agent of Satan.

I could care less that your delicate sensibilities can’t grasp the fact that Bently is not a Christian, and your paper thin” let he who is without sin” retort is just that – a paper thin retort to the extremely complex issue of Bently deceiving people and marching them straight to hell with him.

I don’t think I need to say anything more, so you think about that!

  22. 22 Kyle January 18, 2009 at 11:20 am

Oh Yeah! Lets not mention all of Todd’s false prophecies and beatings he doled out at his “church”. But then again the sheeple like IrishMark would rather blindly follow such an individual than use discernment.

I am absolutely amazed at the lack of biblical discernment people have. To think that a person like Paul Washer gets booted out of Churches to never speak again while apostates like Bentley get revered and defended.

  23. 23 irishmark January 22, 2009 at 3:49 pm

    Whoa Guys!

Please take what i am about to say in love as a brother in christ who has a real concern.

Come on now! Dont assume that I have not read up on Todd Bentley. Also – If I am using a biblical reference to call you up on your behaviour and you call it paper thin – then one could assume that you think the Bible is a “paper thin” argument!?!?

To KYLE: Don’t assume I am “blindly” following anyone – to make such assumtions makes for poor argument.

The point is that this whole post and the other blog post referenced (PJ Miller) are all full of pointing the finger. I respect your right to disagree with his theology and his lifestyle choices – in fact i disagree with his lifestyle choices – but vicious personal attacks on ANYONE are cruel, unchristian and not Godly. I just cant see Jesus making a website and publicly slating someone this way. The only people Jesus ever had a go at were the legalistic pharises who thought they had it all right when it came to religion and no one else did. (*note I dont assume i have it altogether myself)

Guys! There is absolutley no need to insult the guy. Even if he was a false prophet, it’s Satan you should direct your venom at. Bentley is, after all, still made in the image of God.
    Eph 6 v12.
    Matt 5 v43-48.

Spread the love with even more love! Jesus loves you….and even Todd.

This is the last I am going to say about your comments concerning Todd “The Tool of Satan” Bentley.

Bentley’s “theology” that I disagree with is the antichrist message he tries to “impart” in people during his demonic parties (revivals). Insult Bently? His demonic ramblings about “the holy BAM!” and his ungodly character insults me!

I will not bite my tongue nor resend anything I’ve said about this tool of Satan. He is no brother of mine – and I am speaking in love: my love of God’s Word and His pronouncement of judgement upon His enemies.

I have nothing more to say on this matter – if you do, then do so on another blog.

  25. 25 irishmark January 23, 2009 at 5:56 am

I’m so sorry you feel this way.

But I fear you still miss the point. It’s not even about Todd Bentley.

It’s about a scathing attitude to another human being. I wanted to challenge you on the way you so viciously attack another human being.

You just said: ‘my love of God’s Word and His pronouncement of judgement upon His enemies’

    Jesus said -‘Love your enemy’.

I agree with you in your quest for truth and I agree that there are many false prophets out there. I encourage you to keep up the work you are doing.

What I challenge you on in is in how you speak of another human being. You may say that the individual in question is a tool of satan. If that really is the case (again i dont specifically mean Todd Bentlet – I refer to ANY person who might be deemed as such) – then try praying for them that they may be released from such a horrid oppression.

You are a talented writer and I like your writing style. I love that you are passionate about truth and letting others know of what you have found. I see a real gift in you for writing but it’s a shame that you use it so scathingly.

These are serious matters. These are REALLY SERIOUS matters but be careful not to become Judge and jury yourself. That is God’s job. In order to speak with authority on any matter, you need integrity. Your integrity should come from your faith in Jesus, the bible and GOD’S all powerful love.

I’ll pray for God’s blessing on you in your work and in everything you do.

Remember – Spread the Love, not the Hate.

That’s a perfect statement “irishmark” I see lots of christians that hate people and judge people. How can one person say ‘Im a man of god’ when he hates and judge the very person that god has created. Jesus is love,he loves all of his creation know matter what they have done.

Pray that god may restore Todd Bentley!

Pray that god may restore Todd Bentley!

I’d rather continue to pray that God keep exposing demons like Bentley so that His children will know His truth.

Matthew 5:43-60 – 43″You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[b] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

This is what JESUS said directly! Which basically means that JESUS told us to love our enemy! If you’d rather do something else, is that an admition to wanting to go against what he has taught himself?

as I said before – i think it’s great that you want to stop heretics and want to pull people up on bad theology and bad biblical teaching. That is a really admirable thing to do and I ask God to Guide you and bless you in that mission.

However – to say you’d “rather continue to pray that God keep exposing demons like Bentley so that His children will know His truth” is basically, in part, saying that you think Jesus was wrong.

Is that what you are saying?

          Was Jesus wrong?

          Or…

          maybe…

          just maybe…

the amazing, wonderful, epic nature of Jesus Christ, My king and saviour – YOUR KING and SAVIOUOR…

          maybe he had a point.

Now I know you will say that the bible also tells us that we must show sinners for what they are, expose them and what not and as i said i agree!

          BUT

          and here it comes…

you cant pick and choose! You have to do both!

As a Christian, you are called to love those whom you hate otherwise you yourself are living in sin. The gospel teaches us that even if we hate a man in our hearts it is as good as murder in our record with God.

so again i challenge you dude! Keep up the great work at seeking to “speak the truth” as it’s a really amazing thing to do but remember who you are doing it for….

is it for God, or yourself?

I’ll be praying for you bro! God bless you and all your readers (and that includes those of you who are reading this and tutting – the same message applies to you too)

Peace Out – Spread his LOVE!

IrishMark – I will not continue to go back and forth with you regarding false teachers like Todd Bentley, so this will be my final statement regarding this matter at this time. I will not refute the Words of Christ, I will only draw your attention them in context. Matthew 5:38-42 does underscores Jesus’ commandment that we actively love our enemies – in particular those who harm us or our possessions. In that context, Jesus’ words DID NOT address how we should treat those who blaspheme His Name and purport all manner of wild accusations concerning their interactions with Him. Matthew 24:24, John 4:1-3, 1 Thess 5:21 and more warns us of the rise of false teachers like Bentley. Further, Bentley’s “fall” demonstrates even further that he is a reprobate and was NEVER what he represented himself to be.

You have your opinion concerning the matter and I have mine.

(1 Cor 5:11 KJV) But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

(Mat 24:48 KJV) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

a Pastor had said that God does not let us to talk to anyone who drinks wine, but this is a rather distorted, extreme interpretation of the Bible, The Bible clearly says WE ARE NOT TO FELLOWSHIP WITH A CHRISTIAN PERSONS WHO GETS DRUNK.. now that is really different from not talking to any of the people who drink wine.. and why is this pastor so ready not to talk with others now too? so ready to smite them, to kick them out of church? If you have love for someone you are willing to talk with them, but if you do not have love for them, especially if, when you know they do not support you, do not agree with your presentation, do not agree with your point of view, you as a pastor too no can personally can instead refuse to love them, you refuse to talk to them, you find any excuse to reject, ostracize, divorce them basically to deny, to cover up the unacceptable reality that you yourself the pastor actually do not have any love for them.

The Lord began to make clear to me that many Christians do not do a good solid “background check” of any kind on so-called “evangelists” like Bentley. I began to do some googling and digging in ’08 because he was verbally targetting my town as this hub of the flow of the spirit and had intentions to spend some time conducting a conference here. He spoke “prophetically” about what God was going to do here. I noted his weird terminolgoy as I listened to him speak on various youtube vids. He spoke of “portals” and being able to visit the “third heaven” at will, and of fragrances like “vanilla” scenting the room. He and his crony, Bob Jones, sat with Patricia King and spoke openly of these things. To all true believers…do a little checking. Patrica King is as off-the-nut as Bentley. They are part of what is called the “Kansas City Prophets” ring and are a perversion of true Christian faith. View King’s comments on “ekstasis” worship. It will be very enlighting to hear what she and fellow proponents have to say on this topic. I also found it weird that Bentley had a child molestation record….I know already what some will say (that the man was forgiven)….but his mentor Bob Jones also has a “record” of sorts in that he used his “prophetic” gifting to convince women to disrobe in his office. He was disciplined for this act and the information is publicly available if anyone is willing to do a little googling.

I prayed intensely about these yahoos heading toward my area, knowing that some of the youth in my own church were curious and intending to hear him speak. Right after Bentley received the “mantle” from all of those “prophets”, news came about about his infidelity and to my great joy, the man never made it here for his conference. The crap had definitely hit the fan.

Last year, some of the same group that helped organize and promote his conference, promoted another event called “Godstock”. The event reeked of some things more akin to witchcraft than Christianity. There was an arts & crafts tent for little children to enter. The kids could paint “whatever the Lord gave them” and receive messages from God via the artwork. I began to research the guest speakers and learned that they were all interconnected and the main guest speaker was directly tied to Bentley. One of the five guest speakers was from India and under investigation for child trafficking. According to articles that I found online, young children were invited to his orphanage to receive an education, but were instead discovered by authorities and found to have been made into cheap slave labor, burned with cigarettes, etc. While the investigation was being done, and with members of a Christian college participating in that investigation (all in Bangalore, India), this so-called “Christian” was guest speaking here while naive Christians stood by.

God has made it plain to me that we are to “put to the test, those who call themselves apostles.” We can’t afford to put our children and families at risk by being gullible.

There is a long list of names associated with Bentley and worth checking out. Far worse than the things I’ve seen in the youtube videos is what these men and women actually teach and believe. They twist and pervert the Scripture. Rick Joyner, Patricia King, Bob Jones, Stacey Campbell are a few of those names. I apologize of the video clip of Joyner’s church creeps anyone out.
