REAL Apostles Don’t “Retire”

***hat tip to regular reader CiCi for the link to this story***

The REAL APOSTLES died on the mission field:

2 Timothy 4:6-8 (New American Standard Bible)

6 For I am already being (A)poured out as a drink offering, and the time of (B)my departure has come.

7 (C)I have fought the good fight, I have finished (D)the course, I have kept (E)the faith;

8 in the future there (F)is laid up for me (G)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on (H)that day; and not only to me, but also to (I)all who have loved His (J)appearing.

The FAKE ONES just fly their golden parachutes into “Emeritus” status and hand the reigns over to their Pimp Heir Apparents:

FREDERICK K. C. PRICE ANNOUNCES SEMI-RETIREMENT: Founder of Crenshaw Christian Center gives leadership to his son

Pastor Dr. Frederick K.C Price, founder of the Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC) passed the baton to his son, Pastor Frederick Price Jr., recently during the church’s 35th anniversary celebration. Pastor Price, Jr. will be installed as pastor of the 22,000 member mega-church on Sunday, March 15, 2009, his 30th birthday.

Fred will start his public ministry at the same age Jesus did. That is prophetic,” said the Elder Dr. Price who will be 77 next year. “I will still be around as your Apostle and working with the board of directors, but it’s time for Pastor Price, Jr. to get into the driver’s seat. I will still mentor him.”

Since when did “Apostles” need a “Board of Directors”? What is so “prophetic” about Lil’ Freddy stepping into his dad’s fuzzy fedora and fur trench coat at the same age that Jesus started His public ministry – does this mean that Lil’ Freddy is going to preach the TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS, or that same “blab it and grab it” crap that his dad has been spouting for the past 30+ years?

I’ve already written at length about how much error surrounds “Apostle” Fred. Still, I had hoped that the sheep in his congregation would flee that heresy and sit under sound biblical teaching. Instead, Lil’ Freddy is going to add to his “success” as a “hip-hop youth pastor” and take his dad’s heresy into the stratosphere:

“Becoming Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center is an honor of high esteem,” said Pastor Price, Jr. “To follow in the footsteps of my father, the Apostle of Faith, is a privilege and a challenge I look forward to taking on.”

I will still uphold the same high standards of teaching and excellence my father brought to the pulpit” said Pastor Price Jr.

Oh brother.

Is Lil’ Freddy going to try to become an “Apostle” too – or will he settle for just being the Senior Pastor Pimp? Come on, CCC’ers – if you never thought about running away before, you might want to start packing a bag now…

The Musings of “Apostle” Fred K.C. Price

Careful there, Freddy – we wouldn’t want one of the stately swords to slip…

I seem to have ruffled a few feathers in calling out the newly minted “Apostle” Fred Price.

You’d think that most Christians would side with the Word of God instead of defending the false teacher that twists God’s Word for personal gain. But, nothing surprises me anymore…

Anyway, our brother bezel333 takes yet another look at how old Freddy turns the Word of God into a salted pretzel:

Dr. Fred Price and “Positive Confession”:

Sorry to be so blunt, but to hear people like this continue to say ignorant things like “God is not in control” makes my flesh crawl, and makes me pray for them all the more.

Yet more evidence that the “speak those things” “little god” teachings are heretical and against the Word of’s plain to see if you just read it in context for yourself.

Air Pimp One

Eddie Long has one.

So does “Apostle” K.C. Price, Creflo Dollar, TD Jakes, Ken Copeland, Benny Hinn, and many other wolves, apostates, heretics, vipers, pulpit pimps and wannabe’s.

The argument goes something like this:

“You know, Apostle Bishop Right Reverend Prophet Joneshas an anointing on his life – and that anointing isn’t on a convenient flight schedule. Apostle Bishop Right Reverend Prophet Jones has been called by God to minister to the nations, and he needs a ministry tool that will catapult him to the forefront of evangelical outreach, thus the need for a private jet”.

The problem, of course, is that these vipers don’t take their jets to Calcutta, India or the jungles of the Philippines to minister the Gospel to those who either (a) haven’t heard it or (b) have rejected it for Islam or another false gospel.

Nope, these wolves (and their families and “sons and daughters in the ministry”) always end up in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or some other tropical (and tourist-friendly locale) in order to “spread the Gospel” (as long as it doesn’t interfere with sun bathing, surfing, exotic dinner excursions, and the like).

You don’t expect these degenerates to fly Delta (even in the 1st class cabin) when they can load up a plane and go anywhere they want to on a whim, do you?

Our brother bezel333 reports on the latest happenings of the supreme airbone pimp Benny Hinn (Benny was flying in private planes while most of these pimps were still being tooled around in Rolls-Royce’s). It looks like old Benny needs a little more cheddar to upgrade his Air Pimp One – and pay for the rising cost of fuel to minister to the nations blow on people and expect them to fall over:

Attention: Benny Hinn Needs Money for Jet Fuel:

Now come on people, you don’t want old Benny to “plummet from the sky” in an “unsafe aircraft” (i.e. last year’s model), now do you? You know the drill – pay the Prophet Profit and he’ll make sure to put in a good word with God on your behalf.

Benny won’t give you a shout-out to God if you keep him in an “old” corporate jet!

These vipers have escalated the pimp game to a level that is unprecedented. Soon, they’ll be able to shake-you down like any other street-corner hustler instead of wrapping their “game” in religious jargon.

And sadly, the sheep will still throw hard-earned money at their feet.

Hebrews 13:5 (New American Standard Bible)

5Make sure that your character is (A)free from the love of money, (B)being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “(C)I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”

Instead of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and reminding the sheep that the gift of salvation and right relationship with God through Jesus Christ trumps any financial reward that we can gain, old Benny keeps parroting the tired “you gotta pay to play” line.

And of course, it all starts with paying him.

Pray that Benny Hinn and his ilk repent before the Lord for their heresy before it’s too late for them. Either way, pray that the Lord’s will be done – and that the sheep avoid Benny and crew.

Fred K.C. Price…Apostle?

So, what are you doing next Friday (July 25th)? If you’re in Los Angeles, why don’t you stop by the “apostolic confirmation” service for Dr. Fred K.C. Price?

Freddy has ravaged the Gospel by touting the “little gods” heresy (among other heresies), extorting tithes taxes from his followers AND teaching others how to steal also, and starting an entire denomination that duplicates his heresy around the globe.

So how is Freddy rewarded for his assault on the Gospel? By being “affirmed” as an “apostle”, of course! Don’t believe me? Take a look at his seal (that makes it official, right?):

Now that you’ve stopped laughing (or crying) – let’s review what the biblically ignorant like to use as their scriptural justification for calling themselves “apostles”:

Ephesians 4:11-12 (New American Standard Bible)

11 And He (V)gave (W)some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as (X)evangelists, and some as pastors and (Y)teachers,

 12 (Z)for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of (AA)the body of Christ;

13 until we all attain to (AB)the unity of the faith, and of the (AC)knowledge of the Son of God, to a (AD)mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the (AE)fullness of Christ.

Paul clearly told the church at Ephesus that Jesus gave “some as apostles…for the equipping of the saints…until we all attain unity of the faith”. So the question now becomes “if we all haven’t attained the unity in the faith that Paul spoke of, isn’t the apostolic office still open?”

If we go Ephesians 2, we see Paul clear write that it was one of the foundational offices (my emphasis in bold):

Ephesians 2:19-22 (New American Standard Bible)

19 So then you are no longer (A)strangers and aliens, but you are (B)fellow citizens with the saints, and are of (C)God’s household,

20 having been (D)built on (E)the foundation of (F)the apostles and prophets, (G)Christ Jesus Himself being the (H)corner stone,

21 (I)in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into (J)a holy temple in the Lord,

22 in whom you also are being (K)built together into a (L)dwelling of God in the Spirit.

So, we see that Paul FIRST STATES that the Apostolic office is a foundational office (in Eph. 2), then he explains the purpose (Eph 4). So does that mean that the work of the ministry is complete? Absolutely not! In fact, as we look at the apostasy that is strangling the church, we need the REAL GOSPEL preached more and more – but that IS NOT a justifiable argument that there are modern day apostles.

In fact, as believers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have the infallible Word of God as a tool to proclaim repentance of sin and salvation unto God through Jesus Christ – does that make ALL OF US apostles?

Further, when you look at the American Heritage Dictionary definition for the word apostle, the first two entries confirm what we know scripture says:

  1. One of a group made up especially of the 12 disciples chosen by Jesus to preach the gospel.
  2. A missionary of the early Christian Church.

Even though Paul wasn’t a disciple, he clearly got his “marching orders” from Christ (Acts 9), thus making him (an official) Apostle. We don’t defend the title of “teacher” as much as we do the title of “apostle”. Why? Because the title “apostle” sounds more religious, and brings to mind a more lofty, authoritative ideal. Also, we have the rightful title of “pastor” and “elder” to successfully convey the job of a shepherd – have those titles become so common that we have to elevate the dialect?

Even further, we don’t see these modern-day “apostles” operating in signs and wonders – specifically because Paul said that they had already occurred (2 Corinthians 12:12)…not that God can’t work miracles and wonders through people, but the TRUE Apostles didn’t engage in parlor tricks or games. Can you imagine Paul or Peter exhorting the sheep to “sow” into a corrupt pyramid scheme in order to “gain favor” – or to “speak those things” in expectation for something from God? NO!

On the contrary, REAL APOSTLES chided the sheep for their desire of earthly gain and reminded them to be content no matter what state they were in (1 Timothy 6:8, Philippians 4:11, 2 Corinthians 12:10, Hebrews 13:5, 1 Timothy 6:6). The pimps who “claim their apostolic mantle” these days only do so to grease their well-oiled money taking machines.

So, if you want to call old Freddy an “apostle”, then go right ahead. In fact, I think I’ll call myself one too – Apostle Speaking Truth…I like the sound of that.

Thinking to myself: Hmmm…maybe I’ll take my “apostolic confirmation” service on the road. For a small “love gift”, I’ll bring my apostolic mantle to a strip mall near you!

Could Todd Bentley Be Coming to YOUR Church Soon?

Maybe…if your church is pastored by a pulpit pimp who likes love money.

I’ve previously written (at length) about Todd Bentley’s demonic machinations– as have others in the blogosphere – but a recent turn has caused me take another look at this tool of satan. Now even Pat Robertson is jumping on the Bentley Appreciation Wagon (yet another reason to distrust Pat Robertson, by the way).

A recent article entitled “Fresh Face, Fresh Fire – But Same Old Scam?” in World Magazine (and republished in The Charlotte World christian news) gave us more insight into Bentley’s ability to bring in the big bucks (my emphasis in bold):

A visit to one of Bentley’s services suggests that he was learning how to turn the big crowds into big money. ATM machines had been set up, providing attendees with ready cash for the offering plate and book purchases. The tent itself both expanded the meetings’ capacity and relieved the group of the $15,000 a day rent it was paying at the local convention center. The offering is now a significant part of the service, taking as long as 30 minutes. Bentley has not released financial information, saying he was currently “too busy keeping up with what God is doing” to pull the information together. On the night WORLD attended, Bentley said God had told him that 1000 people would give $1000 that night – either from the live audience or from the TV audience. (click here to read the entire article)

So, based on the information highlighted above, Todd Bentley is operating in a dual-role: satanic tool AND pulpit pimp. How can you even deny that, considering that Bentley has now employed the same tools that Eddie Long, T.D. Jakes, Fred K.C. Price, Creflo Dollar, and others have employed to separate you from your hard-earned money.

After priming the money pump and dedicating a good half-hour to collecting the spoils, Bentley even dares to drag out the old tired classic pimp’s retort of “I’m too busy doing God’s work to account for the money”.

Bentley doesn’t even register on the radar of most mega churches clubs today because those pimps are busy taken money from unrepentant homosexuals and others that they used to preach against. Now, since it’s a documented fact that Bentley is raking in the dough, watch and see how fast some of these alpha pimps are gonna invite old Todd in for some “fresh fire”.

Once again, I’ll remind you that you SHOULD NOT be taken in by these claims of signs and wonders from Bentley’s camp – particularly since Jesus warned against it:

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24 NASB)

Of course, the pimps complete ignorance of 1 Timothy 6:9-10(NASB) will negate Jesus’ warning:

9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Oh well, if you attend a charismatic mega church club, then you might as well get the welcome mat ready…old Todd may be paying you a visit really soon…

Biblical Teaching Vs. Motivational Speaking

Many of the saints are deceived by charismatic and theatrical preaching because it tickles the ear and satisfies our desire to be entertained.

I’m of the firm belief that many folks enjoy watching their pastor hoop, sing a bible verse, prance back and forth across the stage, and lay hands on people on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

“My pastor sure can preach” or “Bishop Jones is a bible teacher!”, they’ll say to their friends and coworkers while encouraging them to visit their church.

In reality, if your pastor relies on theatrics, philosophical illustrations, or the “Holy Spirit” to “fall” during service so that he “can’t even preach because the glory is so heavy” – then he neither teaches OR preaches…he entertains.

Many people are even deceived by the “easy going” and “welcoming demeanor” or Rick Warren and Joel Osteen. These guys barely ruffle a feather when they preach, but they sure do reel you in by “motivating” you to live your “best life now” or be driven by your “purpose”.

The tragedy is that the sheep have been entertained & “motivated” for so long (many for most of their lives), that they would consider expository preaching to be “too boring”.

Here’s an accurate description of expository preaching from Wikipedia:

Expository preaching differs from topical preaching in that the former concentrates on a specific text and discusses topics covered therein, whereas the latter concentrates on a specific topic and references texts covering the topic.

In other words, many pastors eisegete the Word of God instead of properly exegeting it.

The video below does a great job of explaining the basis of sound bible teaching, and how far the pimps have strayed (and stayed) away from it by only quoting a scripture to use it as a basis to preach their personal philosophy:

Some of the voices you hear in the audio portion of the video are (surprise) Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, and Fred Price.

Yet another reason to study the Word of God for yourself and avoid wolves, pimps, and hustlers who attempt to misuse His Holy Word to fleece you.

***hat tip to Real Christianity for the video***
