Surprise, Surprise…Another Gay “Bishop” in Metro Atlanta

The man pictured above is Bishop Jim Earl Swilley (yes, that’s his real name) of the Church in the Now here in Metro-Atlanta (Conyers, GA to be exact). Jim Earl is the cousin of Pastor Donnie Earl Paulk (a/k/a D. E. Paulk), the neph-son of the deceased Archbishop Earl Paulk, one of Atlanta’s original pulpit pimps – literally & figuratively (learn more about how “Archbishop” Earl was Donnie Earl’s Unc-Dad).

A few years ago, Donnie Earl completely embraced gay inclusion theology, and lost what was left of his dwindling congregation (forcing him to sell Unc-Dad Earl’s cavernous edifice). Cousin Jim Earl loaned his congregation and his church building to Cousin Donnie Earl last year while Donnie was in-between buildings. Sure, some of Jim Earl’s sheeple were a bit put-off by Donnie’s affinity for unrepentant homosexuality – and they left – but Jim Earl seemed strangely committed to letting Cousin Donnie preach this wickedly false gospel.

Thanks to my brother over at the blog Gay Christian Movement Watch, we now know why: Jim Earl is gay himself:

Via video, a litany of lies from Bishop Jim Swilley

CONYERS, GA  – Bishop Jim Swilley, the nephew of  deceased sexual predator Earl Paulk,  has made his big announcement. There’s so much lying, inconsistencies, propaganda, half truths, false teaching and the likes in the video he released, its stunning.  One thing is sure: satan has planted ministers in the church and they are yoked with an irrevocable agenda to dismantle truth and preach another gospel in its place. The gospel of sensuality.

[…] It doesn’t take a prophetic anointing to know there are hordes of these false leaders like Swilley  just waiting for the right time. They are on satan’s time release program. They are watching and looking to see whether we will fight back or whether we will wax passive and play their deceitful game with them. And literally, lives and souls are in the balance if we stay quiet.

[…] And have you noticed that every time one of these false teachers make their move and publicly vomit out their blasphemy, their supporters immediately began the “love them and don’t judge them” campaign?

Click the title link above to view the video of Jim Earl’s “coming out” – and the love fest that ensued. Then, open your bible and read Jude 1 in entirety. Specifically, pay attention to Jude 1:4-16, because that is exactly what we are seeing today.

Paul was explicitly clear when he wrote:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-7 (New American Standard Bible)

3Let no one in any way deceive you, for it [the return of the Lord] will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

4who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

5Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

6And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

Well folks, the Day of the Lord is coming soon.

Pray for the Lord’s sheep and those yet to know the saving grace of salvation through Christ alone. And pray that the wolves and hirelings continue to show themselves as true enemies of the Gospel of Christ

D.E. Paulk Has Officially Lost His Mind

hat tip to my brother GCMWatch for the story…

Donnie Earl (D.E.) Paulk has finally teetered over the edge and has been given completely over to his reprobate mind…thanks to his Unc-Daddy Earl “The Abomination” Paulk’s curse over the Paulk family. Of course, the Word of God has already foretold of this kind of demise:

Exodus 34:6-7 (New American Standard Bible)

6 Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;

7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

In case you’ve been under a rock for the past few years, take a moment to be brought up to speed on the Paulk Family Disaster (courtesy of IndependentConservative). I have also documented Donnie Earl’s slide into heresy since last spring – from his initial embrace of new-age teachings, to his embrace of Carlton “The Heretic” Pearson and the wicked “inclusion theology”, culminating with the impending sale of Earl’s (and Donnie Earl’s) house of shame.

Donnie Earl recently granted an interview to a gay newspaper here in Atlanta detailing his complete embrace of gay inclusion theology – and thus, his official departure from sound doctrine and his surrender to his reprobate mind (***PLEASE NOTE – I am linking to the original article so that D.E.’s words are read in context. The website is pro-gay and overtly sexual, but it is important to leave it unedited so that you can truly see how D.E. has completely embraced a wicked and unrepentant culture):

No answers: After scandal, pastor finds solace in preaching gay inclusion

As a series of scandals stripped away everything Rev. D.E. Paulk had — his church, his financial resources, even his father — he found the courage to speak his truth.

“I don’t know how to say this, the scandal didn’t make me inclusive, it took away my fear,” Paulk says. “Before that I was saying that I’ll preach about gay inclusion and just sort of mention it here or there. When you lose everything, you have nothing to lose. I looked at my wife one day and said all I have left is me, and what God is speaking to me.”

Clearly Donnie Earl is referring to either the god of this world (or Satan, specifically) because the God of Heaven would never evangelize to anyone about unrepentant inclusion and the acceptance of a gay lifestyle in concert with His Holiness. But wait, there’s more:

Soon after D.E. Paulk took over as senior pastor, he faced what he now collectively calls “the scandal.” A number of women came forward alleging Earl Paulk used his influence as bishop to coerce them into sexual relationships. As part of the legal proceedings, Earl Paulk was forced to undergo a paternity test to see if he had fathered several children in the church.

The paternity test revealed that Earl Paulk, the man D.E. Paulk grew up believing was his uncle, was actually his biological father. Yet it was as these scandals rocked the church that D.E Paulk found the strength to say what was in his heart.

…thus the wicked “seed” that perpetuates the heresy and godless allegiance that Donnie Earl finds himself in today. Unlike many of the lemmings who stay in abusive relationships with their pulpit pimps, Donnie Earl’s congregation fled when Donnie’s horns began to show:

“They stayed through the adultery allegations, the racketeering charges, there’s been all sorts of things they’ve accused us of, some true, some not true, but the majority of the people stayed,” he adds. “It wasn’t really until I started teaching gay inclusion and other religious thought [that people began to leave].”

Under fire from his congregation because of his teaching and marred by his family’s legacy, Paulk considered leaving and starting over somewhere else.

So I guess that even though Unc-daddy Earl’s money (and sex) pimping wasn’t enough to close the Cathedral of Ill repute, but gay inclusion (non)theology was enough to pry the remnant from their pews. So Donnie Earl took his new book to a gay bookstore for a signing party, and he seems right at home:

Paulk began to focus on his core principles and beliefs as he moved toward what he calls “radical inclusion” and away from Christianity. Paulk founded the organization Pro-Love in 2004, which has sponsored inclusion marches every year since. He also began work on his new book, “I Don’t Know … The Way of Knowing.”

The book outlines his beliefs, a multi-national mixture of Hindu, Buddhist, Daoism and other religious thought combined with quotes from an array of historical and cultural figures. Throughout the book, Paulk admits he doesn’t have the answers, and advocates the creation of groups of people all looking for the answers together.

“This is kind of playing my cards here; in several years we probably won’t be called a church anymore, we’ll just be called a community,” Paulk says of his congregation, which now has about 1,000 members and is called Cathedral at Chapel Hill. “I think we’ll just be a community of seekers.”

[…] Paulk is against the idea of defining God as a certain concept. He refers to God as “The Christ” who takes many forms, including Jesus. He told O’Bryan that he agreed with him and says he doesn’t believe in God and the devil, just God.

So Donnie Earl thinks that his “club” will soon be referred to as a community? Um…it already is…IT’S CALLED THE HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY. Like every other new-ager, Donnie Earl completely eschews the bible that he used to teach from and the Word of God that he (allegedly) used to believe in order to conform – make that ENDORSE – a wicked non-theological theory that “all good people will go to Heaven”, and that Jesus Christ is NOT the propitiation of our sin debt and our only access to God the Father.

And let me take a moment to further clarify, before the hate mail (and comments) start pouring in: homosexuality is a sin before God. Rather than retyping, allow me to post a portion of an article I wrote when Eddie Long slowly began softening up about homosexuality (I wonder where Eddie’s next book signing will be, by the way…):

“So, Eddie Doesn’t Understand Homosexuality?”

[…] Let me be CRYSTAL CLEAR – God loves us even in our mess – and in turn, our love for Him and His truth means we must leave our mess behind. We are filthy rags, deserving eternal damnation apart from the redeeming Blood of Jesus Christ and the turning away from our flesh. This is an uncompromisable point. We can’t honestly serve a sinless Savior while holding onto the things that He hates!

I am not a “gay basher”, a homophobe, a “hater” or any other pejorative that will probably be hurled my way. I’m not perfect, nor will I try to reason the varying degrees of “sin”. I understand that many have been hurt through sexual molestation, and confused regarding same-sex attraction, etc. Homosexuality is a sin – and like every other unrepentant sin, it’s consequence is eternal separation from the Father. I stand on the Word of God, specifically:

Is there deliverance from homosexuality? ABSOLUTELY – 1 Corinthians 6:11 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 specifically speaks of deliverance over ANY SIN through salvation and faith in Jesus Christ.

Further, EVERY CHRISTIAN will struggle against sin – including sins of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). What separates us from the world, however, is that we always repent and turn back to God. You can’t be “gay” and call yourself a true Christian if you continue in homosexual sin – remember, 1 Corinthians 6:11 Paul said “you were (fill in the blank)”…meaning before sanctification through the Blood of Jesus.

That said, Donnie Earl Paulk has officially abandoned reason and has been handed over to the god of this world. Pray for his wife and children – that they align themselves with God through Jesus Christ and not the witches, warlocks, and homosexuals that Donnie Earl bows to.

Oh, and rejoice for those who fled this heresy – both long ago and recently. Yet more proof that God gives wisdom, and those that adhere to His wisdom are spared.

You Don’t Need A Huge Building To Teach Heresy

Well folks, here’s more proof that some people will actually flee the heresy and apostasy of a pulpit pimp, putting a dent in their wallets:

Bishop Paulk’s megachurch for sale

The church campus in south DeKalb County started by Bishop Earl Paulk, who built a megachurch but was plagued by sexual scandal for more than 40 years, is on the market for $24.5 million.

…Today, the church is called Cathedral at Chapel Hill and is run by the Rev. D.E. Paulk, who grew up thinking he was Earl Paulk’s nephew but later learned he is his son.

Church membership dwindled from more than 10,000 two decades ago to about 1,000 today because of sexual misconduct allegations against Earl Paulk and other ministers.

So Earl “The Abomination” Paulk and his neph-son Donnie Earl are trying to sell their church building so that neph-son Donnie can spread his message from a smaller building. What message? Well, remember that Donnie Earl has thrown his arms around Carlton “The Heretic” Pearson and his wicked “gospel of inclusion” lie, and New Age Warlock Ekhart Tolle and his garbage as well. Rather than admit that he and his Unc-dad have driven tens of thousands of people away with their sexual and false gospel demons, Neph-son Donnie spins this rebuke by saying “Big building? We don’t need no stinkin’ big building!”:

“As the message and expression of our ministry has transitioned to become more open and radically inclusive of all people, we realize the ministry can be facilitated in a smaller and more urban location,” he said.

Paulk, who describes himself as a “radically inclusive minister,” also is the founder of the Pro-Love Organization, whose mission is to unite people of different faiths, cultures and backgrounds.

Just for giggles, pay a visit to Donnie Earl’s “Pro-Love” group to see how “radically inclusive” this nutjob really is:

Pro-Love is an inclusive initiative purposed to bring people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds together. The Pro-Love Organization hosts a yearly march in the city of Atlanta that unites: Jew and Muslim, Gay and Straight, Atheist and Christian, and all others…We believe the Pro-Love Movement is part of the continuation of Dr. King’s dream.

Maybe all of these “inclusive people” will keep the lights on in Donnie Earl’s new place, while still denying the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ – and Christ ALONE!:

Galatians 1:6-9 (New American Standard)

6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting (A)Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a (B)different gospel;

7 which is really not another; only there are some who are (C)disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

8 But even if we, or (D)an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be (E)accursed!

9 As we (F)have said before, so I say again now, (G)if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be (H)accursed!

More Shame For Earl Paulk

Disgraced “Bishop” Earl “The Abomination” Paulk has returned to the Atlanta news scene to bring further shame to his family – and add yet another blemish to the Body of Christ here in Metro-Atlanta. Several weeks ago I talked about Earl’s Neph-son’s embrace of Ekhart Tolle and the false inclusion theology, and I also took a closer look into the mind of Earl’s Neph-son, all born out of Unc-dad’s Earl’s fall from grace (again, you can visit Independent Conservative’s blog for background on the entire Paulk family debacle).

But not to be content just fading into the sunset, Unc-dad Earl “The Abomination” is back in the news – having undercover meetings with Mona Brewer (his “victim”). Fox 5 News Atlanta has the undercover video of the meetings. I can’t embed them here, so click this link to view the initial report.

It appears as though Earl has been sending Mona Brewer money to get her to settle the case (approx. $2,000) – but why, since Paulk himself won the initial judgement and would receive $1M to pay his attorney’s fees? It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Then again, the entire Paulk mess makes me scratch my head…

In my opinion, this is more evidence of God’s judgement on a wicked man who brought shame and wrath upon his own family – and the families of thousands of former members of his church. I’m amazed that this man is still being called a bishop, especially in light of what the Word of God says about such a title:

1 Timothy 3:2-7 (New American Standard Bible)

2(A)An overseer, then, must be above reproach, (B)the husband of one wife, (C)temperate, prudent, respectable, (D)hospitable, (E)able to teach,

3(F)not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, (G)free from the love of money.

4He must be one who (H)manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity

5(but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of (I)the church of God?),

6and not a new convert, so that he will not become (J)conceited and fall into the (K)condemnation incurred by the devil.

7And he must (L)have a good reputation with (M)those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and (N)the snare of the devil.

A Closer Look Into The Mind Of Neph-son Donnie Earl Paulk

OK, so yesterday I scratched the surface with a post about what’s new with Earl Paulk’s neph-son Donnie Earl (D.E.) Paulk here in suburban Atlanta.  Looking further into the happenings at Club Heretic (Cathedral at Chapel Hill), I got more insight into what’s going on in the mind of Donnie Earl.

It appears as though Unc-dad Earl brought heretic Carlton Pearson into Club Heretic some time ago, but the Club didn’t push Carlton away when he fell off the deep end with his hair-brained “inclusion” philosophy (and I use the word “philosophy” purposely). Truth be told, they were too busy trying to keep old man Earl in line, so they chose their battles, I guess.  Some even speculate that Donnie Earl is seeking to include heretic Carlton on his leadership team at Club Heretic.

If you still think that Carlton Pearson has any shred of credibility with the bile that flows from his mouth, then you need to stop reading this post right now and repent before the Lord!

I’d like to draw your attention to Unc-son Donnie Earl’s “suggested reading & movie viewing list” for the few sheep who remain at Club Heretic. Donnie Earl calls them “tools for the awakening”. Awakening from what – sound biblical doctrine? What insight can you gain from reading books written by Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Carlton “the Heretic” Pearson – and watching movies like “Powder” and “Chocolate”?

Also, while reading the belief statement for Club Heretic, I found a few oddities (my emphasis in bold):

We are a group of truth seekers who:

  • perceive Christ cannot be, and will not be, restricted to Christianity…
  • affirm Christ in all of His creation…
  • celebrate truth as a journey, not a destination…
  • assert the Creator cannot be defined, or confined, by the creation…
  • believe the Word of God, the Christ, is perfect, infallible, inerrant…
  • understand the fallible cannot accurately scribe the infallible…
  • admit the errant finite mind cannot perfectly describe the Inerrant Infinite Mind…
  • embrace truth as a knowing, not a known…profess faith is a hearing, not a heard…
  • accept God has reconciled the world to Himself through Christ…
  • endeavor to convince the world of God’s love, not convert the world to Christianity…

How can you “believe the Word of God…is perfect, infallible, inerrant” and STILL say that Christianity can’t be “confined to Christians”? Since when was the pastors job description edited to “convince the world of God’s love”…isn’t he supposed to preach the Word of liberation from sin through Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 4:2 NASB).

But wait, there’s more…take a look at Donnie Earl’s affection for “inclusion”:

INCLUSION proclaims:

  • Christ loves and includes ALL of His creation in His finished work of REDEMPTION and RECONCILIATION!  (II Corinthians 5:18-19)
  • ALL THINGS flowed from the Christ (John 1) and that ALL THINGS will flow back to the Christ!  (Ephesians 1:10)
  • An OMNISCIENT Creator was neither shocked nor shaken by the creation’s sin – “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world…” [Revelation 13:8]
  • When Christ arrived in time at Calvary’s cross He had already agreed in eternity to its redemption ages prior – His earthly life, death, crucifixion and resurrection were merely time’s rerun of eternity’s sitcom!
  • There was an INSURANCE POLICY in plan in place and in full (paid for) before it was ever needed!  (Romans 8:28-39 / Ephesians 1:4-11)
  • The ENEMY MIND comes in an effort to deny that we have a policy, to refute that we have a claim and to question if the policy is paid up to date!  (Revelation 12:10)
  • Man’s FAITHLESSNESS cannot defeat God’s FAITHFULNESS!  (Romans 3:3-4)
  • Faith does not dispel fear… LOVE DISPELS FEAR!  [I John 4:10, 18]
  • When the MIND can conceive of the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE of God then the HEART will receive the FAITH it so desperately seeks to find!  (Philippians 2:10-11)
  • When LOVE is the agenda… FAITH will be the result!

Is there anything written above that affirms (as the bible says) that salvation can only be found through belief and acceptance in Jesus Christ? And what the heck does “when love is the agenda, faith will be the result” mean?

The scriptures listed above are not in error – but they aren’t exposed in their proper context (or with the proper intention, quite frankly, since Donnie Earl is using them to bolster his heretical “inclusion” plea). Rather than retype content that I’ve presented before, let’s take a closer look at what God’s Word says about salvation and reconciliation back to him through the shed Blood of His Begotten Son.

Either God lied when He gave His only Son as the propitiation for our sin debt (John 3:16) – which we KNOW is false because can God CANNOT LIE (Numbers 23:19) – or Donnie Earl and Carlton the Heretic are liars when they claim that ANYBODY can go to Heaven EVEN IF THEY DON’T ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST & REPENT OF THEIR SINS.

Now THAT sounds more plausible…

Earl Paulk’s Neph-Son Donnie Earl – Making The Family Proud!

I didn’t mistype the title above.

Pastor Donnie Earl (D.E.) Paulk is “Archbishop” Earl Paulk’s nephew (because D.E.’s mom is Earl’s sister-in-law) AND Earl’s son (because Earl slept with his brothers wife).

I don’t have the time (or the stomach, frankly) to recount all manner of abominations, sin, etc. that emanates from the Paulk family, so feel free to see Independent Conservative’s archives of Earl “The Abomination” Paulk – and MSNBC’s take on D.E.’s paternity.

D.E. took over his Unc-dad’s church (The Cathedral at Chapel Hill) a few summers ago – long after tens of thousands of former worshipers fled the place in horror. The church is a shell of it’s former self, can barely cover their expenses with the few that remain, and has become a joke – even among the other heretics and apostates that inhabit the metro-Atlanta area.

So, how do you infuse more “life” (and cash) into a failing ministry? Well, you adopt the heresy of inclusion! That way, you can throw the doors of the church open to every unrepentant homosexual, atheist, and “christians” who believe that Jesus isn’t the only way to Heaven.

Let me be clear – if you “come to God” yet refuse to let go of every sin that weighs you down, then you are not a Christian. If you keep company with those who don’t believe that Jesus Christ is the propitiation of our sin debt, and without Him we can’t have a relationship with God the Father, then you are aiding and abetting in heresy.

Anyway, D.E. is also the head of a group he calls “Pro Love”, and their website says (my emphasis in bold):

Pro-Love is an inclusive initiative purposed to bring people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds together. The Pro-Love Organization hosts a yearly march in the city of Atlanta that unites: Jew and Muslim, Gay and Straight, Atheist and Christian, and all others…We believe the Pro-Love Movement is part of the continuation of Dr. King’s dream.

“Inclusive” is a code word for compromise. The inclusive movement is designed to make everyone feel “comfortable” about the path they choose, and that God (or the Universe, or any other ethereal name you want to ascribe) loves no matter what, and that we’ll all end up in Heaven. 🙄

The inclusive/ecumenical crowd is happy to include anybodyunless you claim that the Lord Jesus Christ is THE ONLY WAY of salvation (John 14:6).

D.E. is also running around with Carlton Pearson, the affirmed heretic who claims that you’ll go to Heaven if you’re a good person – you don’t need to believe all of that “Jesus is the only way” stuff. Heretic Carlton is going to be at D.E.’s church July 13th and August 10th to help ensure that they slide further into irrelevance.

And the final “nail in the coffin” is D.E.’s endorsement of the wicked teacher Ekhart Tolle. D.E. is teaching a 10-part sermon on Tolle’s garbage – and he even links from the church’s website to Oprah’s site so members can sign up for the classes!

Whew! I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at old D.E.’s slide – he is a Paulk, right?

This is even more reason to avoid being preached to by any Paulk, and to sound the alarm to the few folks left in that God-forsaken place. Paul reminds us to avoid any gospel that is contrary to the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

6I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting (A)Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a (B)different gospel;

7which is really not another; only there are some who are (C)disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

8But even if we, or (D)an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be (E)accursed!

9As we (F)have said before, so I say again now, (G)if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be (H)accursed!

10For am I now (I)seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a (J)bond-servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-10)

D.E. better stop going along with this inclusion heresy and latching on to those who profess to be “enlightened teachers of the day” – or he may end up on the other side of Paul’s pronouncement…
