So, Todd Bentley Is A Drunk?

Thanks to PJ Miller and his blog, we learn yet more about Todd Bentley.

Not content with being a tool of Satan deceiving the masses, or an adulterer who is leaving his wife, Todd Bentley is also a drunk (excuse me, he “drinks excessively”):

John Arnott reports excessive Drinking

There must not have been anyone down there in Lakeland, overseeing anything..sigh…

quote..

Todd has chosen to do something that is wrong according to Scripture, and his timing to announce it was equally inappropriate. Everyone is asking, “What happened?” “Why didn’t anyone see this coming?”  We are making the answers to those questions a matter of prayer, and are as shocked and saddened by what has just happened as you are. Furthermore, it has now come out that there has been some inappropriate behavior, both with excessive drinking and also with a female member of his staff.

So Bentley really was drunk in the spirit? The liquor spirit.

Just when you think his demonic ministry couldn’t get any lower, he exceeds our expectations.

Once again, stay away from Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley.

Like I Said…Todd Bentley Is Demonic!

“Many tender-minded Christians fear to sin against love by daring to inquire into anything that comes wearing the cloak of Christianity and breathing the name of Jesus. They dare not examine the credentials of the latest prophet to hit their town lest they be guilty of rejecting something which may be of God. They timidly remember how the Pharisees refused to accept Christ when He came, and they do not want to be caught in the same snare, so they either reserve judgment or shut their eyes and accept everything without question. This is supposed to indicate a high degree of spirituality. But in sober fact it indicates no such thing. It may indeed be evidence of the absence of the Holy Spirit. – AW Tozer

The quote above from noted theologian AW Tozer succinctly describes the unfortunate posture of Christianity today. In the Apostle John’s epistle recalling the fundamentals of our faith (or calling for a return to the basics of Christianity), he wrote:

1 John 4:1-2 (New American Standard Bible)

1(A)Beloved, do not believe every (B)spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because (C)many false prophets have gone out into the world.

 2By this you know the Spirit of God: (D)every spirit that (E)confesses that (F)Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;

Unfortunately, many Christians (and those who erroneously think that they are Christians) simply apply the “if it makes me tingle, then it must be the Holy Spirit” model of interpretation when dealing with these demonic charlatans and their revivals see-through shows.

My post yesterday on Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley pretty much summed up my assessment of Bentley’s ascension from demonic imp to full blown tool of Satan/pulpit pimp. I (along with the entire Christian blogosphere that actually reads and believes the bible) have exposed Todd “the tool of Satan” for some time now, so if you choose to follow him at this point then it is with full knowledge that he IS NOT operating under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

Yet, it’s still good to see more sound biblical study used to refute Todd “the tool of Satan” for those of you who may still be on the fence. Pastor S.E. Ray over at Eternal Path for Seekers of Truth wrote an excellent in-depth article on Bentley – restating some of the fact we’ve already discovered, as well as exposing other interesting facts about “the tool”:

As background information, Todd Bentley is relatively a new Christian with no formal training or experience in the exposition of scripture. His history which includes drugs, criminal activities and he belonged to a sexual molestation activist ring which is well documented and admitted by Todd. Christians realize that a soul can be saved from these things, however he personally claims that he was demon possessed after having been born-again, which poses a problem considering his self-acclaimed position.

So, if you STILL choose to believe a tattooed (after he was saved), demon possessed (afterhe was saved), child molester who assaults people who want his anointing” demonic touch and scares children who DON”T WANT him to touch them, then there’s nothing more to be said to you.

Like I said…TODD “THE TOOL OF SATAN” BENTLEY IS DEMONIC!

Our hope can ONLY be found in God through Jesus Christ – and his unchanging Word.

Todd Bentley Is Demonic!!!

Can I make it any more plain for those of you who still think that Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley has anything to do with our God in Heaven?

Todd Bentley’s revival in Lakeland draws 400,000 and counting

By Thomas Lake, Times Staff Writer
In print: Monday, June 30, 2008

On the 84th night of the revival, the air was charged with collective energy and the floor shook from pounding feet. A spine-tingling roar rose from the crowd. They were calling to God for oil and fire. Eight thousand people filled the tent. They had come from all around the world, bringing walkers and wheelchairs and chronic pain. They were here for the Florida Outpouring in Lakeland, the hottest thing going in religion these days, and some wore T-shirts that said It’s Hell Without Jesus.

Above them stood their spiritual leader: Todd Bentley, 32, a stout, balding Canadian with flames tattooed on the back of his neck. He was known to boast about healing through violence. He had been videotaped telling stories about kicking a woman in the face, slamming a crippled woman’s legs against the stage and knocking out a man’s tooth. This was done, he claimed, on behalf of the Holy Spirit.

“Kaboom-boom!” he shrieked. “God’s been pouring the gas. And then the match. KABOOM-BOOM!”

Bentley paced the stage as he spoke, head sometimes jiggling like a bobblehead doll. He said his staff was working overtime on a catalog of healings and resurrections, verified by X-ray and blood test.

“The devil is shaking in his boots!” he bellowed, and whatever he said after that was lost in the clamoring of the crowd. (click here for the entire article)

So now God is pouring out “oil and fire”? Yeah, that’s biblical 🙄 And Bentley outta know what the devil is doing – he works for him! “Jiggling like a bobblehead doll”…this guy is clearly out of his ever-loving mind!

Since Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley is now an OFFICIAL pulpit pimp as well as demonic minion, he reminds the silly sheep that they have to “pay to play”:

Get out your credit cards, he said. Write a check. Click on the blue button on the Web site. “You reap what you sow,” he said. “Generosity and the anointing go hand in hand.”

And we keep hearing more and more about the lunacy of this demonic spectacle:

Bentley grinned, hands outstretched, head still bobbing, as another pastor anointed him with oil, special revival oil FedExed from Africa, and slew him in the spirit so he fell to the stage.

Good grief!

Saints, PLEASE PRAY for Christ’s church. Pray that the REAL sheep stay FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEMONIC FOOL, and that the goats continue to identify themselves so that we don’t rely on them when the fight REALLY breaks out.

Continue to read the words of our Lord in the 24th chapter of Matthew so that you will not be caught unaware.

Lord have mercy on your children…

More Discernment – Justin Peters Vs. Todd Bentley

Yesterday, I introduced you to a Mississippi based minister by the name of Justin Peters who conducts a seminar exposing and debunking the cancerous WOF movement. Thankfully, Justin decided to take a closer look at yet another ravenous wolf stalking the revival tent today – the satanic tool that is Todd Bentley.

Justin attended Bentley’s “Lakeland Revival” earlier this month to witness the claims of “healing” first hand, and decided to contact seven people who claimed to be healed as a result of this meeting. He shared his findings with Todd Friel from the Way of the Master radio program.

Imagine my surprise when learning that none of the “healings” that Justin investigated could be confirmed after the “revival” 🙄

Part 1 – Lies At Lakeland

Part 2 – Lies At Lakeland

Once again, I admonish any TRUE believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to STAY AWAY FROM THE DEMONIC TODD BENTLEY

Could Todd Bentley Be Coming to YOUR Church Soon?

Maybe…if your church is pastored by a pulpit pimp who likes love money.

I’ve previously written (at length) about Todd Bentley’s demonic machinations– as have others in the blogosphere – but a recent turn has caused me take another look at this tool of satan. Now even Pat Robertson is jumping on the Bentley Appreciation Wagon (yet another reason to distrust Pat Robertson, by the way).

A recent article entitled “Fresh Face, Fresh Fire – But Same Old Scam?” in World Magazine (and republished in The Charlotte World christian news) gave us more insight into Bentley’s ability to bring in the big bucks (my emphasis in bold):

A visit to one of Bentley’s services suggests that he was learning how to turn the big crowds into big money. ATM machines had been set up, providing attendees with ready cash for the offering plate and book purchases. The tent itself both expanded the meetings’ capacity and relieved the group of the $15,000 a day rent it was paying at the local convention center. The offering is now a significant part of the service, taking as long as 30 minutes. Bentley has not released financial information, saying he was currently “too busy keeping up with what God is doing” to pull the information together. On the night WORLD attended, Bentley said God had told him that 1000 people would give $1000 that night – either from the live audience or from the TV audience. (click here to read the entire article)

So, based on the information highlighted above, Todd Bentley is operating in a dual-role: satanic tool AND pulpit pimp. How can you even deny that, considering that Bentley has now employed the same tools that Eddie Long, T.D. Jakes, Fred K.C. Price, Creflo Dollar, and others have employed to separate you from your hard-earned money.

After priming the money pump and dedicating a good half-hour to collecting the spoils, Bentley even dares to drag out the old tired classic pimp’s retort of “I’m too busy doing God’s work to account for the money”.

Bentley doesn’t even register on the radar of most mega churches clubs today because those pimps are busy taken money from unrepentant homosexuals and others that they used to preach against. Now, since it’s a documented fact that Bentley is raking in the dough, watch and see how fast some of these alpha pimps are gonna invite old Todd in for some “fresh fire”.

Once again, I’ll remind you that you SHOULD NOT be taken in by these claims of signs and wonders from Bentley’s camp – particularly since Jesus warned against it:

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24 NASB)

Of course, the pimps complete ignorance of 1 Timothy 6:9-10(NASB) will negate Jesus’ warning:

9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Oh well, if you attend a charismatic mega church club, then you might as well get the welcome mat ready…old Todd may be paying you a visit really soon…

Todd Bentley…Demon Possessed?

DISCLAIMER: In accordance to Ephesians 6:10-18, please pray before viewing or listening to any of Todd Bentley’s video or audio recordings. The only way to combat the evil of this day is with the unadulterated Word of God.

<———————————————>

***Hat tip to reader Sandy B for sending the audio link below***

I already posted a comment on Todd Bentley in a previous post, but this is so important so I thought I’d create a separate post.

Frankly, I’m tired of talking about this fool – primarily because I’ve already dismissed him as a tool of Satan to deceive the saints. The more you hear him speak, the more he confirms his satanic allegiance – masking it as an allegiance to our God, which of course is a lie.

It is important, however, to keep sounding the alarm since Bentley has mastered the art of deception, and he’s causing many saints to fall away from the faith.

Sandy B, a reader of this blog, made me aware of this audio tape of Todd Bentley speaking about how he was/is inhabited by demons AFTER HE WAS “SAVED”.

Let me be clear – if you’ve acknowledged and repented of your sin and accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you have the Spirit of God inside of you – AND HE WON’T SHARE SPACE WITH A DEMONIC SPIRIT (1 John 1:4-6). PERIOD! If you are a disciple of Satan, then his demonic spirits are welcome…and they feel right at home!

Let’s take a moment to make sure that every Christian understands the surety of their salvation:

23for you have been (A)born again (B)not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring (C)word of God. (1 Peter 1:23)

17Therefore if anyone is (A)in Christ, he is (B)a new creature; (C)the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  (2 Corinthians 5:17)

30(A)Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were (B)sealed for the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)

6knowing this, that our (A)old self was (B)crucified with Him, in order that our (C)body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; (Romans 6:6)

As believers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we understand that we’ll regularly battle evil (Ephesians 6:12). Todd Bentley is doing nothing more than “softening the edges” of evil so that we exchange God’s Word for Bentley’s (and Satan’s) words.

PLEASE pray that the saints of God would study His Word so that they won’t be deceived in these last days. I’ll leave you with this sobering reminder:

1(A)Beloved, do not believe every (B)spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because (C)many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

As always, I WILL NOT entertain comments from Bentley sympathizers – since he is clearly operating with an antichrist spirit.

Todd Bentley’s Impartations…

DISCLAIMER: In accordance to Ephesians 6:10-18, please pray before viewing or listening to any of Todd Bentley’s video or audio recordings. The only way to combat the evil of this day is with the unadulterated Word of God.

<———————————————>

I’ve already expressed my opinion of Todd Bentley, his “angelic visions”, and his colleagues.

I direct your attention to an excellent article written by our sister Lavrai over at her blog entitled “Todd Bentley Imparts Antichrist Spirit”.

Lavrai takes an exhaustively biblical look at Bentley and his “impartations” – or his habit of blowing on people to “impart” a “spirit” into them”. Bentley is not alone in this practice.

Bentley, Benny Hinn and other “faith healers” like to blow on their victims visitors in order to aid in their “slaying in the spirit”.

As we see more of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10 playing out before our eyes, please continue to pray earnestly that the saints would stand firm on God’s Word.

Pray for repentance for those who accept these false signs and wonders – and their return to the irrefutable truth of God through Jesus Christ alone.

The Bentley Study Bible?

OK.

I don’t know if I was just tired and really soaked up the sun, or if the “waves of light” that Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley’s supporters have been emailing me while I was away (hey, at least they stopped the death threats…for now).

Whatever it was, I’m back from vacation – ripe, rested, and ready to “stir the puddin'” some more!

So, I was watching the latest video from killertrumpet (one of my favorite youtubbers), and I almost fell over in hysterical laughter.

I present to you the latest from the “Way of the Master” radio progam:

Todd Bentley’s New Study Bible

😆

I guess we shouldn’t laugh too hard – anyone who baptizes “in the name of the father, the son, and the BAM!” is capable of anything.

Todd Bently Is A Demonic Liar!

Now that I have your attention, allow me to further expound on my continued righteous indignation and disgust for the false teacher/demon that is Todd “the tool of Satan” Bentley.

Bentley has claimed all sorts of “healings” have taken place at his revivals circus sideshows in Florida. He even told Geraldo Rivera that he had “documented proof” (even though no one has been able to confirm his claims). John 8:44 aptly describes Bentley and his charade of religious show – which is fitting (of course) since Bentley is disguising himself as a Christian minister when in fact he is a tool of Satan (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).

So Bentley is a liar. Surprise, surprise.

And now, we have direct proof of Bentley’s lies directly from the mouth of a man who came to Bentley for healing in Denton Texas last week:

FIRST-PERSON: Faith & healing — Where’s the evidence?

Posted on Jul 11, 2008 | by William A. Dembski

On July 3, my wife, three children and I attended Bentley’s “impartation service” in Denton, Texas, north of Dallas. Why? We have twin 7-year-old boys, one of whom is autistic (largely nonverbal, still not fully toilet trained, serious developmental delays). Friends urged that we attend the meeting for his miraculous healing.

Call us stubborn, but my wife and I are unimpressed with doctors who see our son’s condition as hopeless. We believe that God still heals and that His means of healing include conventional medicine, alternative medicine, prayer, fasting, love and, yes, miracles. In any case, we haven’t given up on our son’s recovery (we still remember the day when he was developmentally on track). So if God wanted to use Todd Bentley, we were open to it. (click here to read the entire article)

Please read the article in it’s entirety – and pray that the Lord would remove your anger after seeing how many are continually duped into believing that Bentley is an agent of the Lord. Further in the article, the author begins to see the unraveling (my emphasis in bold):

Finally, around 9 p.m. Bentley began to speak. He devoted much of his message to the visions he has received and the miracles he claims have happened in his ministry. Then, almost as an afterthought, he spent a few minutes preaching from the Bible (John 5). In fact, he admitted that he was having us open the Bible simply so that it couldn’t be said that he didn’t preach from the Bible. So much for reverencing the Scriptures.

So this demon decides to “preach” about Jesus’ healing ministry (John 5)? Fortunately, his disdain AND disinterest for the Word of God is further exposing him as an enemy of God.

After preaching, Bentley took the offering. During the offering he asked “How much anointing do you want to receive?” Thus he linked the blessing we should receive with the amount of money we gave.

Yup…further solidifying Bentley’s newly minted degenerate pulpit pimp status to go hand-in-hand with his demonic allegiance and violent parlor tricks. Let’s not forget the classic pulpit pimp mantra: “you gotta pay to play!”

I don’t want to take anything away from this heartbreaking story, so please read it in it’s entirety. After you finish reading, remember that this demonic imp is parading himself around the world as a “faith healer” when in fact he is a bonafide tool of Satan.

Don’t even go to this garbage show out of some odd sense of curiosity. Just avoid this demonic impartation altogether. Cling to the faithful Word of God through Jesus Christ and pray for those who are falling into delusion over this demonic garbage:

2 Timothy 3:13-14 (New American Standard Bible)

13But evil men and impostors (A)will proceed from bad to worse, (B)deceiving and being deceived.

14You, however, (C)continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them

Let’s Do It Again…

Well, God through His infinite wisdom (and through the Shed Blood of His Son) saw fit to allow me to see another year – and I am eternally grateful.

Subsequently, God has ordained that this blog continue to expose His enemies and draw all men to Him through His Son, and I am humbled that he would use a wretched man like me to labor on His behalf.

I’d love to be as wistful and deep as I was last year, but I used up all my pretty words – so I’ll simply draw your attention to the top 25 articles read on the blog this year (in their respective order):

For 2010, I will be just as indignant with false teachers and their pimpistries, but I will not be incendiary just for show. I will write as the Lord allows and only what He allows.

I pledge to piss off more comfortable Christian’s for the sake of getting them to read the Word of God for themselves.

I will stoke the anger of pimp and wolve apologists even more, hopefully prompting more death threats than I got in 2009.

I will go even further into the Word (for my own study and in articles that I will write) to exalt the Word of God even higher than I did in 2009 (providing even more antidote to the false gospel that permeates the airwaves today).

I will  not entertain those who attempt to use this blog to spread their false and viscous distortions of God’s Word…there are plenty of bootlicker blogs that will let you fawn all over the pimps de jour, so go visit them instead.

I will continue to wave the Blood-stained banner of Christ. Period.

So, let’s do it again folks…

The “Spiritual Covering” Lie Gone Wrong

laying-of-hands

***UPDATE 5/17/09*** This article references a story that appeared on the blog “Endtimes Prophetic Words”. Many have accused that blog author of misdeeds and I allowed this forum for both parties to air their grievances. Unfortunately, the volley’s continue back and forth – so I have deleted all comments referencing personal accusations of the blog author AND her defense of herself. Further comments towards anything except the article will not be published.

……………………………………………………………………………………..

In the past I have spoken out about several lies that the charismatic church perpetuates in order to garner “submission” from others, specifically “spiritual covering”, “spiritual fatherhood/motherhood”, and the phony “apostolic covering” that we see permeating the church today. The “laying on of hands” (as the picture above depicts), is not “unholy” – in fact, it’s sanctioned by God (Acts 8:17, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6, and so on) – but it is not a game to be played with. In fact, the (real) Apostle Paul clearly warned against “laying hands on anyone too hastily” (1 Timothy 5:22) – thereby calling for a serious reflection upon the call of ministry.

The misunderstood (yet often repeated) mantra is that you must be “launched” into ministry by a “spiritual father” or “spiritual mother”, and that person in turn becomes your “covering”. These people advance the notion that you must be “sent” into ministry by a “covering pastor/bishop/prophet/evangelist” – that you can’t simply respond to the call of God and the urging of the Holy Spirit and go forth declaring the Gospel to the nations.

Further, these liars like to separate those who were “sent” from those who “went”, thereby tainting the ministry credentials of those who “went” without a “covering”. I agree 100% that we all should be accountable to someone else in our Christian walk (think of it as a series of checks and balances), but I refuse to believe that God would bypass me to speak to someone else about me, especially since He said in His Word that He is already my “covering”, not the hireling who begs for my money every week.

Still, the covering scam keeps gaining traction. For example, TD Jakes is Eddie Long’s “spiritual daddy” (seems fitting). Eddie Long has “spiritual sons” from one coast to the other. If I attended the church of one of Eddie’s “sons” and I decided to stop attending so that I could lead weekly bible study and prayer in my basement with a few believers, then I am an outcast – one who did not properly submit to “spiritual authority” and rebelliously left my “fathers house uncovered”.

While one could chuckle at this foolishness from a distance, here’s yet another example of how this heretical thinking continues to grow like a cancer within the Body (courtesy of the blog End Times Prohetic Words):

Apostle Claims Pastor Shot Down Was God’s Judgment For No Apostolic Covering

As many of you know, the Rev. Fred Winters was recently tragically shot down and killed while delivering a sermon at First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois. This incident is tragic enough news.

However, a NAR [New Apostolic Reformation] apostle speculated to other apostles that being shot down in the pulpit was judgment from God starting in the House of God, because the pastor had no apostolic ‘covering’!

The article goes on to say:

There is a lot of bad pastoral/apostolic ’covering’ teaching in the church at large, the pimping and the abuse and the fearful superstition is not just prevalent within the NAR – but Lyrica’s is one of the worst statements I have heard. One worries where this type of thinking will lead as it morphs to its logical conclusions among sincere, passionate, devoted but blinded NARzie followers in Joel’s Army …. after all, many of us have not forgotten the NARzie false prophecies about civil war breaking out in the church, and what will happen to the NARzie critics or those who refuse to unify with them…. and spiritual warfare is headed to literal action and literal war as that is where dominionism is going, and must  go by its very nature.

The New Apostolic Reformation is a cult that mimics true Christianity but is sorely lacking a sound biblical foundation. In fact, this was the same group that was propping up and providing “spiritual covering” for Todd “The Tool of Satan” Bentley and his Lakeland, FL circus show last year – culminating in this demonic “apostolic confirmation service” (DISCLAIMER: In accordance to Ephesians 6:10-18, please pray before viewing or listening to any of Todd Bentley’s video or audio recordings. The only way to combat the evil of this day is with the unadulterated Word of God.).

If you think that I and others are engaging in hysterical emotionalism regarding the path that the church is currently on (particularly when a nutjob can kill a minister and other “ministers” explain the cause as a “lack of apostolic covering”), remember the Words of the Lord (my emphasis in bold):

John 16:1-4 (New American Standard Bible)

1“These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.

2“They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.

3These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me.

4“But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

May God have mercy on those who labor in His vineyard while exposing the wickedness of this generation – and anxiously await His return.

The Things I’ve Learned…

thinking-mind

It has been a very interesting year.

In His infinite wisdom and sovereign grace, God through Jesus Christ saw fit to allow the cloud of delusion to be lifted from my eyes for a literal moment – long enough to see that I was in submission to a scripture-twisting pimp who got more and more wealthy (and brazenly heretical) as his congregation grew poorer and more hopeless.

As I fled the plantation with my family and the remains of my self-respect, I developed and insatiable thirst for the TRUE Word of God, and I committed to reading His Word for myself instead of being spoon-fed by those with malcontent in their hearts. Through God’s grace, the gelatinous mass between my ears began to thaw – transforming me from a subservient drone to a student of the Word – and a walking, breathing BS detector with the ability to spot a false teacher a mile away.

Thus, the inception and development of the blog you read today.

Along the way, my mind has been exercised – and I’ve learned quite a few things, namely that you folks enjoyed reading these top 8 articles I posted in 2008:

  1. Why I Speak Truth  – 1,592 views

I learned that there are some excellent blogs out there defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ (just take a gander at my blogroll on the right column of this page) – including some of the newest additions to my personal reading list:

I learned that no matter how the wolves, vipers, false teachers, pulpit pimps et al deceive the sheep, there are legions who will defend their shenanigans to the fullest – as evidenced by the countless hate emails and death threats I have received this year (although the hate has been tapering off for the past few months…I guess I need to poke the vipers with a bigger stick in 2009).

I learned that as detached as I try to make myself appear, I get vehemently upset when I read of/hear/am informed of a pimps assault on God’s people – and I weep when I receive a note of thanks from those who gather the strength to flee. I know that I am a wretched man apart from the Blood of Jesus Christ – and that my daily surrender of my sinful flesh to the Will of God is a just enough to keep me from becoming one of the dolts I blog against. I am not stupid enough to think that I am anything more than a pawn in God’s plan – and I am ever humbled that He would find me worthy of His service.

I learned that there are still thoughtful pastors out there who care for the sheep more than they do their own wallets – and I am fortunate enough to have them read and comment on this blog.

I learned that there are awesome men and women of God who agree and disagree with me throughout the comment threads here. They admonish, chastice, and encourage me publicly and privately, and agree to disagree without being disagreeable. They bless me with their wit and insight, and pray for me when I teeter close to “the edge”.

Finally, I learned that what started out as one man’s public venting space has in fact become a ministry. No, not a building fund money begging, 3 services a day having, pastor & 1st lady Bently driving ministry – an earnest, grassroots call to a return to traditional, historical, biblical Christianity.

I invite you to join me as I venture down this “blog road” in 2009. I can’t guarantee that I won’t use harsh (yet not vulgar) language, that I won’t call out one of your favorite ministers, or that I won’t get so angry that I nearly toss my computer across the room while revealing the latest blow to the Body of Christ.

I can guarantee, however, that I will remain as humble as I can (through God’s grace) – and that I will without hesitation always honor God through His Son Jesus Christ…and I will continue to speak truth as the Lord wills – and leads.

Heee’s Baaack…

todd-bentley

After fleeing the “Lakeland Revival Apostasy Circus” in August, Todd “the Tool of Satan” Bentley has reemerged from the soot of his hellish cave to confirm that he is an adulterer who is leaving his wife for the nanny of his children. Gee, you mean a lying, con artist, and false prophet broke his marriage vows? TAMPA – Todd Bentley, an atypical evangelist who drew thousands to a series of summer revivals in Lakeland, plans to divorce his wife amid revelations that he is romantically involved with the nanny of his children, according to his ministry.

Bentley is resolute in seeking a divorce from his wife, Shonnah, amid “his increased familiarity with a female staff member” during the revival in Lakeland, the letter states. “Todd admits to being 100 percent responsible for the divorce.

The tattooed and body-pierced preacher has not seen his estranged wife or his children since July

As I stated in a previous post, keeping this degenerate blasphemer from her and her kids is probably one of the best moves the soon-to-be former wife could make! Even those in his “ministry” have decided that they couldn’t cover for this demonic tool any longer. ***sidenote – they stood and watched while he slaughtered the Word of God and captivated and deceived hundreds of thousands of people, but they draw the line at boozing and womanizing…moving along…***

And you folks in Fort Mill, South Carolina better buckle your seat belts because (according to his former ministry) the devil is moving to your community to throw some soot around!

Todd “the tool” even reached out to one of the pastors who threw his church doors open in Lakeland recently, defending himself against what his (former) ministry accused him of:

But Strader said Bentley told him he did not have a problem with alcohol as described by the board’s letter. He said Bentley admitted he had gotten drunk in the weeks he was in Lakeland, but the incidents were isolated and he has resolved not to drink again.

“He was apologetic for the harm he caused to us and the body of Christ. … (But) he told me, ‘I’m not an alcoholic,’” Strader said. (source).

Did “the tool” apologize for how he butchered God’s Word in order to deceive the masses? Nah…but he sure is sorry he threw a few back to unwind after all of those rousing Apostasy-Palooza’s.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again: Todd Bently is a minion of Satan who has been sent to deceive the sheep and lure them away from Christ and His Word. He is a demoniclying deceiver whose con job on the Body of Christ will resonate for years to come. As the Lord wills, he will pay for every assault he purported against God.

And for all of you who have a problem with my frank assessment of Todd “the tool” – I could care less. This imp’s black heart is evidenced by the words that fall from his lying lips, and I will call “BS” on this demon every chance that God affords me the opportunity.

So if you don’t like it, then kick rocks (that means “keep it moving”).

The Devil Flees Florida (Again)…And His Wife!

So Todd “The Tool of Satan”  Bentley is fleeing Florida…again. This time, he’s taken the demonic road show overseas:

Leaving Lakeland

The Florida Outpouring revival concerned Pentecostal leaders.

Cary McMullen, The Ledger of Lakeland – posted 8/12/2008 10:13AM

Canadian evangelist Todd Bentley has announced that he will leave the Florida Outpouring revival meetings in Lakeland on August 23 to conduct revivals overseas. But some local Pentecostal leaders, as well as some national ones, won’t be sad to see him go, and have been wary of giving approval to the meetings since they began in April.

As a side note, take a look at the mind of a typical Bentley follower (my emphasis in bold):

Bob and Hilkka Mounder traveled from Sheffield, England, to attend the revival. “Todd is rather special to us. We’ve really experienced God’s presence at his meetings,” Bob Mounder said. “I’m 20 years older, I know lots more about the Bible than he does, yet there’s something about him. He’s got something I haven’t got.”

You got that right, Bob – it’s called demonic possession. But don’t loose heart, you’ll get it if you keep following Todd “The Tool” around. The rest of the article disputes all of the alleged healings and resurrections that have been claimed, so there’s nothing new on that front.

It also appears that Todd’s is leaving his wife:

Separation May End Bentley’s Lakeland Appearances

Todd Bentley, the evangelist who has led the Florida Outpouring revival here in Lakeland since April 2, has filed for separation from his wife and might not return to the revival, according to his former local spokesperson, Lynne Breidenbach. She said Bentley made the announcement to his staff this afternoon. Bentley and his wife, Shonnah, have two daughters and a son and are Canadian citizens. Under Canadian law, separation is a first step in divorce proceedings and takes nine months. Bentley and his wife have been in marriage counseling for several months, Breidenbach said. She called the situation “very sad” but insisted it “doesn’t invalidate what Todd did” at the revival.

You know the drill – click on the titles to read the articles in entirety. I don’t know if Todd thinks that “Emma the angel” can do a better job than his wife, or if his wife got tired of seeing demonic manifestations on stage AND at home. I don’t endorse divorce, but I think there may be some merit to this one:

Matthew 19:8-10 (New International Version)

8Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

9I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

10The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”

I guess Mrs. “Tool of Satan” can claim that Todd was unfaithful to her by clinging to Emma and all of the other apparitions from his twisted mind. I’m sure she’s agreeing with the disciples that in this case…“it is better not to marry”.

On Vacation…

OK – some of y’all have been stressing me out lately 🙂 , so I’ll be taking a few days off, enjoying some beach time with the family. I’ll try to get to a keyboard in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep (otherwise I run the risk of being harmed by my wife and kids), but don’t expect much in the next week.

During my down time, take a moment to read (or re-read) the top 3 most popular posts on this blog (as calculated by the number of times they’ve been searched or read):
