The Criminal Returns to the Scene of the Crime

paula white

It appears as though the original “Pretty Paula” – the original Florida Gator pimpette – has slithered back into the “pulpit”. This should-be criminal has returned to the place where she and her husband have robbed so many people, a failing church club that continues to stand as a shining example of the bankrupt and morally corrupt “Prosperity Gospel”. I can’t help but think of scripture:

Proverbs 26:11-12 (New American Standard Bible)

11Like a dog that returns to its vomit
Is a fool who repeats his folly.
12Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Well, the dog has certainly returned to the vomit:

Paula White Returns to Lead Ailing Megachurch

Charismatic preacher Paula White is stepping in as senior pastor of the Florida megachurch that she and her now ex-husband founded nearly two decades ago.

On Sunday, White was expected to officially mark the start of a new chapter in the history of Without Walls International Church, which once attracted 23,000 worshippers and was heralded as one of the nation’s fastest-growing congregations.

“It will be my first Sunday to officially preach and to minister to you as the mandate and the mantle that I’ve received for the great assignment for this city, for this ministry, and for our lives collectively as your new senior pastor,” White reported in an eBlast to the Tampa-based congregation.

A mandate from who, the Devil? Sorry…read on…

In an interview with the St. Petersburg Times on Friday, White said he was stepping aside as senior pastor because of health concerns and that he has been in and out of the hospital for much of the last seven months.

“I have some serious health issues right now,” the bishop said. “I’ve had six different doctors say that I had to take the stress, the pressure out of my life.”

As a result, Bishop White called up his ex-wife about two months ago to inform her of his health situation and to ask her to consider returning to lead the congregation they once pastored together.

After much prayer and counsel, Paula White decided accept the mandate and mantle of senior pastor of Without Walls International Church and the entire ministry organization, according to Paula White Ministries.

“Pastor Paula is very excited about this wonderful assignment and opportunity from the Lord,” her ministry reported. “We know this is the divine plan of God and that great things are in store!”

Read the entire article for yourself – no need for additional commentary from me. We are simply seeing God’s judgement pour out before our very eyes. If you are a former member of this club, rejoice in the Lord for His grace and mercy. If you are a current member of this club – flee now while the Lord is still merciful. If you know a current member of this club, pray.

Yeah for some reason I had down time at work and somehow Paula White came to mind, so I did a google search and lo & behold this mess came up. Then she made me think about Juanita Bynum and I saw where she’s calling herself: Juanita Bynum II. What a sad, sad world.

This was bound to happen again, unless Paula White repents and rejects her former teachings it will be the same old Paula.

I thought Miss Paula had become a “life coach”. Now she’s a minister again?

Juanita Bynum has married herself and renamed herself Juanita Bynum II; Thomas Weeks III has gotten engaged to yet another “prophetess”; and Paula White has returned to the scene of the crime at Without Walls. One thing you can say about Word of Faith folks – there’s always something going on that will make the headlines! If these 3 stooges would just repent of their foolishness…Now that would be some good news!

I just posted on this yesterday on my other blog. I find it amazing that this woman has NO fear of God. She thinks because she is “charismatic” that she can flaunt the commands for a woman to be silent and not to be in authority over men. That is FINE, but DON’T CLAIM you are working for the same Lord I do.

She aint above the Bible and she AIN’t Serving God. Anyone still pumping money into her is a fool.

    Many Blessings 🙂

This never-ending. The really sad thing, the sheeple that left may return for more shearing. What will it take for this woman to sit down???
    Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Why doesnt Bishop White put into practice all the ‘health’ teaching that he has asked other to subscribe to? Where is his ‘faith’?

    • 9 speaking truth July 15, 2009 at 9:00 am

You already know the answer to that question, Alan. As in the case over there in the UK, White and his ilk repeatedly demonstrate how the prosperity gospel is devoid of sound biblical foundation. We all know that God blesses/heals/delivers/etc. whomever He desires (as is His sovereign will), and He IS NOT moved by “sowing seeds”. But as long as the flesh clings to the bones, there will be those who respond to “urgent pleas for financial breakthrough” out of hope – unfortunately they’re placing their hope in God’s hand and not His face.

That’s about the gist of it. He/She says what sells, not what works in their lives.

If they truly cared what the Bible extolled and what was best for their church, they would stop ogling over the fancy drapes and furnishings and begin considering the Church is about the people in it, rather than the cutsy things on it.

Everyone wants a microwavable blessing. People are generally looking for the short cut, so when a fraud like the Whites promote the “quick financial breakthrough,” those folk line up with checks in-hand.

        Let us indeed pray.

Jesus Christ came to save heal, deliver and comfort the sick, the afflicted and poor and needy people. T

he church of Jesus Christ is about poor and hurting people and not about Pastors becoming rich at the expense of the trusting sheep.

If you scratch the surface of most Charismatic ministries the top dog only cares about himself and not about people. Sad but true! If you don’t believe this ask for the total salary of the top dog and find out the hard way what response you will get?

    • 12 N'Catina July 17, 2009 at 8:34 pm

I agree w/everything you have pointed out, and I have left the apostate church behind as a result of that.

As far as the asking for the salary, the only thing tighter than their fist in which they are holding the money will be finding out that information.

The reason I believe people like Paula White have been successful over the years is because they’re experts in Crowd Psychology and Group Think. They know that controlling people in a crowd and selling them faulty doctrine is much easier when they’re in a crowd, as opposed to being individuals.

Mobs can be captivated easily and given over to euphoria. When they’re in this state many individuals won’t think rationally. Therefore my only prayer for the people at WWIC is to flee the place, and to have sober thinking and reasoning. That way they’ll discern the error they were in.

Very good points KC. I share your assertions that White and other false teachers are highly successful because they “preach to the herd” – and individual will rarely question while in the group. Paula and others are cunning, however, to still convince you that black is white and up is down in 1 on 1 conversation because they still speak to the core weakness of individuals – their flesh:

Sick in your body? Sow a seed for good health. Lost your job? Sow a “future job” seed and watch God work. Lost your wife or husband? Sow a companion-seeking seed and watch God send you the love of your life!

I pray for those club members to do exactly what I did – flee that heresy so that the sober mind can return to help shake off the cobbwebs.

Paula White has no shame. When a person will do or say anything for a buck, that speaks volumes.

I remember the first time I saw Paula White on television. Oh did she have the crowd on their feet. People in the audience falling out and hooping and hollering. I tell you, she had the audience in a trance with that “sow a seed to get whatever you want” nonsense.

Nothing she said was biblical, it was all about get rich, get healed by sowing a seed right NOW to HER ministry.

It’s sad and pathetic, but as long as people think they can buy a blessing from God, they will continue to prescribe to Paula White’s silly and dangerous messages.

I don’t know the woman but there is certainly only one way to God: Being fresh and righteous. Preaching that will not make us popular.

I concur, that the reason folks like Paula White succeed is that they understand weaknesses of the flesh. They know the flesh likes shortcuts, ease and comfort. Who wants to struggle preparing for interviews, drafting killer CVs when all I need is to “sow a seed”, and miraculously God will give me a job on a silver platter?

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still need to pray hard for that job, but wouldn’t it be much easier if sowing a seed would “trigger “God to move in my life?

Paula White last year began a new trend of endorsing business magnates/writers like Donald Trump & Robert Kiyosaki on her programme. It left me really wondering what she was upto as she was offering discounts on books by those 2 authors, and claimed that somehow the church could benefit from their “wisdom” by implementing their “business principles” to reap results…

It reminded me of a post you wrote recently of the new trend by pastors on endorsing/”discipling” entertainers and sports stars (usually with hopes of financial gain from the celebrity athletes/entertainers)….

Let’s not worry, but remember Psalm 37. There are so many of these wicked people out there that we would ruin our health being angry over their deception. God will deal with them ALL! Some sooner than later (Randy White)
