False Bishop Tommy Weeks Is Insane…

crazy-tommy-weeks

Please excuse my blunt assessment, but false bishop Tommy “The Wifebeater” Weeks has lost his [insert appropriate pejorative] mind!

Just read the article that appeared in today’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution…no additional commentary from me is necessary (emphasis added):

Bishop Weeks plots spiritual comeback

A repentant reverend will belt out the Easter sermon Sunday, preaching salvation, while reflecting on the resurrection of Jesus — and his own.

[…] Weeks’ likens his plight to the Biblical figure Job, a prosperous man who was stripped of his wealth, property and good name when his faith was tested by God.

“Many thought Job went astray,” said Weeks. “They only recognized that he didn’t after God blessed him double for his trouble. I am being blessed that way… “

[…] On Easter, Weeks is expecting a full house at 2710 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., a sanctuary converted from an old muffler repair shop. It’s 8,000 square feet, about 10 percent the size of his former church campus, but there is a marquee outside with Weeks’ name in big black letters. He calls the place “The Prophet’s House.”

[…] He moved out of his $2.5 million Duluth country club estate, found a smaller home — and a new love. “I am actually in a serious relationship,” Weeks said.

His November church eviction was a turning point. “It freed me.”

Weeks owed $400,000 in rent and fees for his old church.

[…] The pastor is trying to grow a megachurch online. Weeks said he reaches viewers in 80 countries offering prayer, video on demand, a bookstore, and an opportunity to speak with him live during worship services.

[…] Following Weeks’ lead,Bynum, a traveling pastor, actress and gospel star, also has expanded her Web ministry to include pay-per-view programming and a talk show she calls “Speak On it Today.”

“It’s the hottest show around — it’s live, it’s raw,” Bynum said in a Web promo.

Some former members who departed after the break-up have forgiven Weeks and are returning to the flock, he said. “People are apologizing for leaving and want to be restored,” Weeks said.

🙄

OK…discuss.

I really don’t have a problem with Thomas Weeks because, as you so delicately put it, “he’s insane”. My problem is with the misguided (at best) individuals who have chosen to stay with and/or come back to his leadership. He compares himself with Job? “Many thought Job went astray. They only recognized that he didn’t after God blessed him double for his trouble. I am being blessed that way…” Is he joking? We know Thomas Weeks went astray when he went up side his wife’s head and tried his best to put a serious hurt on her. How can people follow a pastor like that? Why would people feel the need to apologize for leaving and feel the need to be restored? There must have been a serious gas leak in the building they were evicted from. Reading between the lines, this man is taking no responsibility or blame and is still presenting himself as the victim. I hear no remorse, no repentance; only pride and more pride. You could not pay me to follow him to water if I was dying of thirst.

There’s a little item the great “bishop” forgot to mention…“Job was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.” Job 1:1

“I am actually in a serious relationship,” Weeks said…Please let it be with Jesus.

    Ditto Ann Brock.

Job was blameless and upright, so I am trying to find how Weaks (not Weeks) can compare himself to Job.

In what scripture did Job beat his wife, give marriage advice while his own was falling apart, and mis-managed the tithes and offering so badly that they were evicted from the church during service?

lol. He can’t be serious. He actually has members? He truly needs a real encounter with the real Jesus. What woman in her right mind, who loves the Lord is spending alone time with him. This ministry thing is just about money. He doesn’t know that you can spread/teach the word of God without being a Pastor……he definitly is no job.

Ann, you said a mouth full, sister. From your lips to God’s ear!

When I first starting reading this I started laughing and then I started to weep for such weak aints (saints)that is obviously as lost as Weaks is. It never cease to amaze me how people will continue to follow after a lie rather the truth. So sad! It’s going to be intersting to see how long they will be in this building (he hasn’t obviously felt the push of the recession that most of the country is in but of course he doesn’t have to worry about that he has it like that…those dumb sheeple will fall off of a bridge for their Bishop! So sad!

These people are not saved. They heard an emotional sermon, emotional music, and saw other emotional folks jumping up and down. There is no relationship with Christ, no reading-studing the Word. Weeks and his ex, Bynum are white washed tombs with a microphone and a blind audience.

Response to Keb – Weeks’ new fling,is not in her right mind, does not love the Lord, nor spend time with Him. This is so sad.

Response to Ann Brock – AMEN!

Ann Brock – You said so much with so few words! Amen!

Ditto to Ann Brock; JESUS needs to be Who he and his ex-wife need to get to know. This is not ministry, it is sinistry! He and his ex-wife need to step down and step out of the spotlight and repent. He definitely does not need to be involved with a woman right now. They and the sheeple that follow them do not know the LORD, I know that because I am an ex-sheeple of the ‘womand of gawd’ herself, J.Bynum. The LORD told me, while I was watching her, simply to “pick up the Bible and see if this is right.” It was not right. The WORD of the LORD is all you need!

Does anyone else besides me think Weeks looks like the Eddie Murphy character “Professor Sherman Klump” from ‘The Nutty Professor’ movies

    —–

I’m surprised that everyone missed this ‘breaking news’ piece about Juanita “Bind-em” from the article. I googled the term “juanita bynum bankruptcy” and no one else had reported on it except the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

“In the months since Weeks and Bynum divorced, financial hardships have beset both.

Bynum, who could not be reached for comment, has recently filed for bankruptcy in a Colorado federal court claiming she’s more than $5.25 million in debt. Court documents show a laundry list of creditors including Jaguar Credit (jaguar cars official finance company jaguarcredit.com), the Internal Revenue Service, Chase Manhattan Mortgage, and Weeks’ Atlanta divorce attorney Randy Kessler. Bynum, through foreclosure, lost possession of her $4.5 million Waycross compound, a sprawling 23 – acre campus with a lakeview that housed her residence, her private sanctuary and sales distribution center…..”

Why file in a Colorado court when she lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area? to try to avoid her creditors from filing against / contesting the bankruptcy proceedings?

This type of behavior should not surprise any true believing Christian. The Bible says these types of jerks (I mean false teachers) will come along (1TIMOTHY 6, 2TIMOTHY 4, and many others).

I now understand better what Jesus said when He talked about the weeping and gnashing of teeth for those in hell. All of Weeks’ followers who he led astray will be the ones gnashing their teeth and Weeks will be weeping because he knew he should have led people to Christ and not to himself. A bunch of p***ed off hell dwellers are going to be gnashing this guy for a long time (actually for eternity). Perhaps his amassed wealth can buy him an eternal supply of gnash repellant.

Yes. We really do need to pray for this man and this situation. We really do. Does anyone besides me feel that Jesus’ return is not far off?
