One Alternative To “Crunk” Youth Ministry

All this talk about “getting the youth ministry crunk for Christ” has made my head spin. It’s also given me a good reason to introduce you to a new children’s ministry started by one of my brothers in Christ. I present…Solomon’s Farm – An Online Children’s Ministry. According to Brother K (who also runs the blog Street Corner Prophet), the purpose of the site is to:

Children, whether responding with gleeful curiosity or bemused nonchalance, seem far more accepting (or at least willing to accept) that the Creator of the universe not only knows them but loves them. At Solomon’s Farm, we take great joy in not only being able to introduce little ones to the concept that God loves them, but also in reinforcing this concept through the characters’ differing personality types and relationships. At Solomon’s Farm we believe that if children can know in their hearts that God loves them and desires relationship with them then this gospel truth can blossom into full fruition as they grow, leaving no room at all for the bitter weed of cynicism.

For those of you who are familiar with Brother K’s profound wisdom in the various comment sections on this blog, you can attest to the brothers fervent love for God and the Word. This ministry is an extension of his heart for God – and the perfect antidote to the garbage that passes for youth ministry these days.

Who knows – letting your 6 year old visit “Solomon’s Farm” today could keep him out of a “Crunk for Christ Youth Explosion” ten years from now.

Lord willing.

WOW! I was ’rounding the bases’ this morning only to find that someone had hit a home run for me! ST, I honestly am left speechless at such great kindness.

Let me humbly thank you for the blessing you’ve given this ministry gift from God. I continue to lift you and yours (as well as those who stop by this particular oasis for spiritual refreshment) up to our Lord Jesus in prayer. May God indeed bless you all!

    Brother K,

No thanks necessary. It’s important to support REAL ministry, and that’s what you’ve got – so it’s me sincere pleasure to cast a few eyes your way.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you for His service!
