So, Only The Prosperous Are Saved?

Alright, I’m scratching my head over this one as I am over most of what I see and hear on a regular bases as it relates to the Body of Christ.

I present for your consideration Creflo Augustus Dollar, Jr., Senior Fleecer Pastor of World Changers International “church” in College Park, GA. You already know about Creflo – if not, google his name and have fun learning more about him.

Anyway, Creflo is one of the key perpetrators and instigators of the lie of the prosperity gospel. Here’s an older video of Creflo linking prosperity with salvation – or the lack thereof. Even though this video is about a year (or more) older, you can hear Creflo preach the same message every week:

“In order to stop getting people saved, you’ve got to stop them from prospering”

So Creflo thinks that the devil is “successful in not letting folks get saved” by keeping them from “prospering”

Huh? I’ve never heard Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Bob Johnson, or Warren Buffet publicly declare their allegiance to Christ through the repentance from sin – are they saved?

If not, they should be because they sure are “prosperous”, aren’t they?

This is yet another example of how dangerous the “God wants you to be rich”  heretical lie is. God is Sovereign, and it is His will that some prosper financially, and that others don’t. We can’t get stuck on “God owes me in this lifetime because He owns the cattle on 1,000 hills!”. The Apostle Paul taught about contentment – not riches in this life (Philippians 4:11-12, 1 Timothy 6:6-9Hebrews 13:5– all NASB).

Creflo is just mad because folks are calling him on the carpet about his see-through money scams. Then, for good measure (and to show you how easy it is for him to butcher the Word of God), he throws out 2 Chronicles 20:20 (NASB) as “proof” that you’ll prosper if you listen to the “prophet”.

Well, let’s look at the text in proper context:

10“Now behold, (A)the sons of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, (B)whom You did not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt (they turned aside from them and did not destroy them),

11see how they are rewarding us by (C)coming to drive us out from Your possession which You have given us as an inheritance.

12“O our God, (D)will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but (E)our eyes are on You.”

13All Judah was standing before the LORD, with their infants, their wives and their children.

Jahaziel Answers the Prayer

 14Then in the midst of the assembly (F)the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite of the sons of Asaph;

15and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, ‘(G)Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for (H)the battle is not yours but God’s.

16‘Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley in front of the wilderness of Jeruel.

17‘You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, (I)stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem ‘ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, (J)for the LORD is with you.”

18Jehoshaphat (K)bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshiping the LORD.

19The Levites, from the sons of the Kohathites and of the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

Enemies Destroy Themselves

20They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, (L)put your trust in the LORD your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.” (2 Chronicles 20:10-20 NASB)

Jahaziel stood as a prophet of God declaring that God would deliver Judah from their fight – as God commanded him to do. So, the battle cry of an oppressed people facing their enemies and trusting in God for deliverance is equated to trusting the lying mouth of a pulpit pimp who guarantees riches if you rub your bible?

Got it.

As I said on many occasions – God is Sovereign and He blesses whomever He wants with whatever He wants them to have, all to His glory.

Salvation is only found through repentance of sin and the Blood of Jesus Christ, not in your desire to have God fatten your pockets.

Creflo needs to stop worrying about how badly he and other degenerate thieves are being portrayed, and start worrying about how he’s going to account for his part in the vast apostasy we’re seeing today.

The reason that these wicked prosperity teachers are thriving out there is because their critics are just as deceived and greedy as they are. You said “God is Sovereign, and it is His will that some prosper financially, and that others don’t.” Now let’s look closely at that statement. First of all, it is not biblical and I mean that there is no scripture to support it, secondly You mixed some true(God is sovereign) with some fantasy(and it is His will that some prosper financially, and that others don’t) which would makes it very hard for anyone to rebuke you,and lastly, where is the logic of the statement, what would God wants some people to be rich and others to live in poverty; the word of God says that God is love , God is good and God is no respecter of person. conclusion God is not distributing money or any form of material (carnal) stuffs to man. The word of God also say that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and come from the father of lights. The last time I checked carnal wealth was not called perfect or good gift. Try to read the bible for yourself and don’t accept what those wicked fathers of the catholic church have left for us .They are cliches not scriptures. The gifts of God is the Holy spirit and Jesus’s body.

chutedent, allow me to address your comment:

The reason that these wicked prosperity teachers are thriving out there is because their critics are just as deceived and greedy as they are. You said “God is Sovereign, and it is His will that some prosper financially, and that others don’t.”

How exactely am I deceived, chutedent? Can you use scripture (chapter and verse) to assert your belief that I’m just as wicked as those who I call out? Do you disagree that God is Sovereign – that He can do whatever He wants to do and allow whoever He wills to prosper in whatever way He deems fit?

God allowed Abraham to be rich (Genesis 13:2), he allowed Solomon to be rich (1 Kings 3:12-14), and he allowed Job to be rich (Job 1:1-3). He also allowed the Apostles to live and work in near poverty – yet they were content doing the work of the Lord (Philippians 4:10-12; 1 Timothy 6:7-9; Hebrews 13:5 and so on).

So, as I said (and scripture confirms) God wills who He wants to be financially prosperous and who He wills not to be – all for His purpose and His glory.

I DO read my bible for myself and I DO NOT accept ANYTHING from the Cult of Mary (Roman Catholic Church). Have you read anything else on this blog? If you did you would have a clear and fundamental understand of it’s purpose and my assertions ALL BACKED BY SCRIPTURE – and that I hold no one over my direct relationship with God through Jesus Christ, nor am I fed anything from a pulpit pimp anymore.

I’m not going to take any more time to refute your comment because I’ve sufficiently done so.

This blog is not judging those (unbelievers) outside the church…we are to judge the fruit in the church! Speaking Truth is calling out church/leaders that have brought the ways of the world/earthly prosperity into the Church–we, myself included, ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward…Jude 1:11! We’re not discussing Bill Gates or Donald Trump! We’re talking about the CHURCH!

Have you ever read the account about a “certain rich man” and “a certain beggar named Lazurus”. The point is the LORD chooses whom HE wills to have gifts–both spiritual, natural, earthly! For the gifts and callings of GOD are without repentance…Romans 11:29.

I believe a Christians greatest temptation(s) come when they have wealth, power, favor, and prominence…To whom much is given, much is required versus Christians’ temptations when they are in lack!

Case example, you quote, “conclusion God is not distributing money or any form of material (carnal) stuffs to man.”

The point is GOD’s earthly wealth is for the total purpose of establishing HIS covenant. Deuteronomy 8:18. Christians are favored with wealth as purposed by GOD to be distribution centers for the Kingdom–like Joseph was in Egypt for Israel…To feed and cloth the poor! That is the great commission!

What this blog, Speaking Truth and others are contending…The Word Faith Gang and the Mega Black Church has OVERequated earthly prosperity with the LORD being with them! A country saying I used to hear people say, “they went to seed with it!”

Prosperity preaching/teaching WENT TO SEED! We, myself included, got off focus–my heart has always been on CHRIST and the Gospel–but the LORD is telling the Church to repent and return to the first works, and our first LOVE!

Holiness, Sanctification, Dying to Self, Taking up the Cross, Paying a price is NOT the PREEMINENT Preaching/Teaching in MainStream Churches and Christian Media–You hear and read it on Blogs! The core sins operating with Prosperity Preaching are Idolatry and the Lust of the Eyes, the Lust of Flesh, and the Pride of Life!

Yes, earthly riches will pass away and no one can take them to grave with them–But GOD does and chooses to uses money in HIS Kingdom! There is a great difference between the CHRIST’s KINGDOM and Satan’s kingdom! The enemy has blinded mens hearts and ….a lot of ministers became HIRELINGS, they may have started out right with good intentions but they are now not Shepherds after GOD’s own heart! They are in it just for the money!

(Thank YOU HOLY GHOST for bringing this last point to my remembrance)
Balaam was a “Prophet” with a gift from GOD–For GOD even used Balaam to Prophesy Blessings on Israel. Where Balaam became FALSE, HE prostituted his gift from GOD–Heavy, Heavy! See 1 Peter 2:15 and Jude 1:11.

chutedent – I will not approve any more of your comments to this blog – so stop sending them to me.

You asked riddle-like questions and accuse me of being a heretical deceiver along the lines of the false teachers that I call out. Even when I clearly point you back to scripture (not my “philosophy” or cliche – the Word of God) – and you’re even corrected by another witness (thanks for the co-sign EnochWalked)), you still want to question God’s sovereignty in ALL MATTERS.

So, I’m finished dealing with you. Post your riddles on another blog – I don’t have the time (or the inclination) to play along.
